Chapter five clarity's pov

The door burst open with a force. I looked up and saw Jack. My worst enemy. He said "Well hello Clarity. Long time no see? Right?" I glared at him and said " Get out Jack! I can't stand you and your little posse of guys. Your the ones who would always get me in trouble! And you killed Anna-Marie!" He looked at me and shook his head. He said "I will give you to the end of the year to defeat everyone here. As for you IF you win, I will let your little lover boy live." I said " what happens if I don' t participate in this?" He said " Well then I will kill your little lover boy right in front of you and you can do nothing to to stop it if you don't play my little game." He said with amusement in his eyes. I said " Fine. But if I win I get to kill you and your little posse of guys. Got it?" He stuck his hand out and I grabbed on to it. We shook and he walked away. I looked at Zander and all he did was hug me. I hugged him back and sobbed. Then I said "I'm sorry for the mess I got you in." He shook his head and said " it's fine. I will help you no matter what. You are my friend after all!" Friend. Yeah we are after all just friends. I got up and went to the little lake. I got Zander 2 fish and I got myself 2 fish.  I went back and started washing then since they were from a lake that probably had diseases in it. We ate silently and I got up and went to bed. Zander got up to and got on his side. He said "I think I might have hurt you when I said friend. I'm sorry." I looked up at him and said "It's okay. You didn't hurt me!" Lie. "Like you said we are just friends!" Another lie. I'm lying to myself. Why? I don't know. But what I do know is that the next thing that happened was the most embarrassing moment in my life.
