Not Gonna Die

Chapter two

Clarity's POV
I woke up to bright sun light pouring into a window. I got up, confused about what happened. Then I remembered. The tests. Gus. Jason. All of it. I looked around and found a dresser. It had clothes in it. I picked an outfit (above) and put it on. Then I went into the bathroom which was right next to the dresser. It looked like a rainbow puked all over it. Then I saw a note. It said:

       Dear Clarity,
My deepest apologies for this. You are in one of my built houses in the woods. I know how you must feel right now. If you can find me I promise that you will get your freedom. But you must compete in a game first. It is called survive or die. You must be at the gates at 10:00 sharp on Friday. Today is Thursday. I must be going now. But I would love to see you win. Good luck. Oh and you might want to pack  basically your closet for this one.

Well at least he had the curtesy to at least send me a letter. I walked to the living room. It had a table in the middle. Two couches, a love seat and an arm chair. They were all grey. But suddenly there was a knock at my door. I opened it to see and man. He was tall and built. He said "you must be the new kid next door. I'm Zander. And you are?" I smiled and said with glee "I'm Clarity nice to meet you. And what do you mean kid?" He looked at me with shock and said "Didn't you know there are no adults here except for the elders?" I shook my head. That is one thing Jason left out. Zander said with a hopeful look in his eyes "are you participating in survive or die?" I nodded thinking what I have to do to win.  He said well do you want to be partners for this?" I smiled and hugged him. He was surprised at first but hugged me back. He waved goodbye and I closed my door and for the rest of the night I picked what I was gonna wear tomorrow and I started packing. Then I climbed into bed with my red and black pajamas and with that I fell into dream land.
