LILITH'S POV
we all walk into the church. i stay quiet sitting down. i really didn't want to talk to anybody. i cross my leg over the other putting a piece of hair behind my ear. everyone gets settled as allie walks up to the stand.
"my sister, cassandra, was good. she was a good person. um.. she was captain of the debate team. you didn't want to argue with her," she explains
"who did this huh? who shot my sister? why did you do that?! we needed her! i needed her." she cries
will gets up hugging allie. the boys get up picking up cassandra's body and start walking out as people follow. i lastly get up following behind everyone. two people dead how much more to go? everyone stands around her body as helena says a prayer. at the end we all say amen.
minutes pass and people start walking off. i stand there looking at her body.
"how about you go home, your brother might be there." grizz says
i slowly nod my head then walk off.

i walk into the house and sit in the kitchen. i put my head on the table sighing.
"you want any tea?" dewey asks coming in
"yeah please." i sigh
"green?" he asks
"yeah." i say
he puts on the teapot and sits next to me.
"i'm sorry about cassandra sis, i didn't know people would actually kill people out here." he sighs
"yeah, i wouldn't know they would do that either." i sigh
he kisses my forehead and walks off. five minutes pass and the teapot goes off. i stand up turning it off. i get a coffee cup and pour water into the cup. i put the teabag in and sit back down.
"stop being sad about someone dying. it's gonna happen again so get your ass up put on some makeup and act like yourself."
i hate when my mind wanders. i finish my tea and get up. i go upstairs to my room sitting down at my desk.
"it's okay, act normal." i tell myself

i walk into the cafeteria and go into line. i get my lunch and sit down.
"hey babe." grizz smiles
"hey." i smile
"you okay after-"
"yeah, i'm fine." i smile
some guys start fighting and i don't pay attention to it. as i go to eat my food a gun goes off. my heart drops as grizz covers my head pulling me under the table. this cannot be happening.
"drop the fucking gun!" a girl yells
"fuck! it was an accident!" a guy shouts
my heart was beating so fast. i felt like i got ran over by a truck or something. the fire alarm goes off as people start running.
grizz grabs my hand and i get out from under the table. he jumps over a wall helping me over. we run out the cafeteria, outside. as we're far away from the place we stop running.
"are you okay?" grizz asks frantically checking me
"i- think so." i sigh
