"Maria, just go talk to him." My best friend Mercedes said, slightly pushing me to the front of the store. I gave her wide eyes, signaling for her to stop.

But once I saw his face, my heart instantly froze. There he is, Mark Lee. Jesus. What was it about him and his goddam cheek bones? His smile? His beautiful hair and soul? His eyes-

"Hi! Need help finding something?" I heard, making me jump. It was YangYang, Mark's work buddy who'd always try to talk to me, but I was never interested in him, Mercedes was though. But I did give him my number, in case they ever have a Black Friday sale for comic books. He told me he'd keep me updated on things, but who would've thought he'd use this as an advantage to actually 'talk' to me.

"Oh, hey. Hey, are you guys having a sale or something? The line is extremely long." I stated, crossing my arms over my chest. "Yes. We actually are. Follow me." He smiled, fixing his glasses. Mercedes squeezed my hand. "What?" I whispered. "He is so cute." She whispered, pretending to dramatically faint. "Oh really? Remember when you were like "Maria, just go talk to him." ? Well now it's "Mercedes just go talk to him." I mocked. She playfully hit my shoulder. "That's not fair." She cried. As we followed him, he showed us some really cool 90s Batman comic books. I nodded. "Nice! What are these like 93?" I asked, checking out the pages and labels. YangYang smirked, "97." He informed us. "97?!! Holy shit!" Mercedes said, grabbing one. She wasn't even interested in comic books, she only come here for YangYang just like I only come here for Mark, buuuut I also come in here for books, since I'm kind of a geek when it comes down to Batman.
