Chapter # 2

it was their 5th day of marriage when they hv to live for Delhi as Arnav's holidays r over & frm tomorrow he has to join his office. They took the blessings from their elders & went to their flight.
Within few hours they reach delhi, Arnav's flat, it was a medium size two bed room, 1 kitchen & hall ,he got it by installment which he give every month, it was having a nice view but as Arnav live there alone, its totally messed up, at first Khushi give a disbelieve look at the house then her eyes went to Arnav, who was guilty
A: actually I live here alone & mostly im at work so don't get enough time to clean up.
K: hmmm , that I can see very well, now tell, where should I keep my stuffs?
He shows her the guest room where she put her luggage & then decided to clean the messed place, she made a bun of her hair & start to clean the house, Arnav was getting ready for his office whn his eyes fall on her, she was looking simple, with tht bun, some hairs r coming on her face but don't knw why he felt so special in tht way, tht he kept staring, she stand on a tool & was cleaning the ceiling, whn she lost her balance & about to fall, Arnav who was staring at her noticed & run there, & hold on time, her eyes wr close tightly, but soon she realized her body didn't touched the floor or didn't get hurt, she slowly open her eyes & found she was safe in Arnav's arm, they had an eyelock & after sometime she came back to her sense & went off saying a plain thanks, Arnav also didn't get what happen to him may b its just humanity , he would do the same if there were someone else instead of her
At night when he came back home, he rang the bell & Khushi opened it, he was surprised to see both Khushi & his house, she was wearing a blue jeans with a pink & sky blue shed kurti, still hving her sindoor, mangalsutra & shadi ka chura (the red &cream color bangles, I jst love to see newly wedded girls like this) & then his house so new, fresh & clean, he never thought he lived in a pretty house,
K: y u staring like this, hv never seen me b4??
A: u in this attire??
K: yeah I usually feel comfort in all this whn im at home, in mathura there wr guests & so many relatives so I was wearing those heavy saree, jewelries & all but here , I cn be like I want right?
A: yeah off course
K: now u pls go & get freshen up, I ll serve the food,
Ths girl ll make him mad, in Mathura they wr with his family so he cn understand y she was doing all this but here y she is doing all this for him & his house, when she knows bcos of him her life is bcom a big question
Whn he was looking stunned at her, she cn understand what must b the reason
K: don't give too much pressure to ur brain, im doing all this for myself not for u, till we don't get divorce I hv to b with u & I cant stay in tht mess so I cleaned ur house & about making food for u, im not selfish like u so as im sharing ur house & stuff at least cn share my food with u,
A: y u keep calling selfish all the time?
K: what else I should call? Selfish! who thought about his life & parents but didn't think, getting married to someone is including her life too..u didn't bother about it & at wedding night u said u cant continue our marriage, so that how you are selfish! Hv u ever think about me & my family?? Then??
No use of talking with her as at the end it was his fault only..so he went to get freshen up & then they had dinner.. after dinner Khushi said, now we should think about the divorce matter
K: here you don't have your parents so just don't drag it for long..
A: yeah, I will talk to a lawyer tomorrow
Next day evening they went to the lawyer
Laywer: u guys r married for only 15 days & want divorce? Is it a joke?
A: no sir actually situation was like this, we were helpless & its an unwanted marriage
K: this guy don't want to marry me but did for his family & I cant live with such guy who didn't want me
Laywer: This is the problem of your generation you guys always take decisions hastily but marriage or divorce isn't a joke & it has some rules & laws which u guys hv to maintain
K: we don't want to go against any law but jst want a divorce
Lawyer: hmm for this u guys hv to b atleast 6 month married & after that court procedure & all in together it might take at leat 1 n a half year or more, but you guys have to live together at least the first 6 month you cant avoid living together tht is the shortest time period & rest will depend on the depth of your case whatever the Judge will decide but right now u guys hv to b together as married couple & cant even file divorce till u complete 6 month of ur marriage.
This made both sad, Khushi really want to get out frm ths relation so tht she cn control over her feelings for Arnav & start a fresh life, Arnav also want to start fresh with Lavanniya who still don't knw about his marriage with Khushi. But as par the lawyer there is no way they hv to spend the next 6 month together as a hubby & wife..
At night in Arnav's flat Khushi was doing some kitchen work when Arnav came there &said
A: I know u must b upset, im also but, I know I hv damaged ur life & cant fix it, but till we get the divorce I hv a request
K: now what?
A: can we be jst like friends, im tired of ur tht look I know it was all my fault, & im sorry for that, but what had happened we cant change it so as we have to live the next 6 months together can we live in peace without having any bitter feelings (he was making a puppy face)
K: hmmm I ll try but cant promise, he got happy & about to hug her saying thanks but she again give that angry look so he remove his hands & went to sleep
Khushi to herself." I show the false anger so that I can hide my true feelings for you, im scared if I become friendly with you, my love for you will be visible & it will increase my pain only "
As now they r trying to b friends, Arnav feel lighter to talk with Khushi, Khushi also try to talk in a softer tone & sometime smiles on Arnav's jokes or what, it was Sunday evening & Khushi need to get some household things so she was going out, when Arnav also accompanied her, after coming back frm the shopping Arnav met with his one good collage friend, dev
DeS: Hey Arnav Buddy!, what a pleasant surprise! After so long time where have you been?
ArnaS: nothing buddy, was engaged with some work.
DeS: being so much busy that you forget your childhood friend not good. (he noticed Khushi & asked) is she our sister in law?
Arnav(slowly, feeling lil hesitated ): yes
DeS: that's really mean of you! You got married & don't even informed or invited us ! that's not fair! (Showing fake anger)
Arnav: actually the situation was like this only, dad was sick & all happened in very short time that didn't get time to invite any of our friends
DeS: Its ok but u will be forgiven only if you attend my wedding anniversary which is coming on this Sunday & bring Sis in law too I don't want to hear any excuses from you ! ok? Then see you, need to go, he gave Arvan a bro hug & then he greet Khushi too she also smiled & greet.
On the party day, Arnav called Khushi to remind that she need to get ready by 7 she said ok , for the party she wear a long rounded suit a combo of white & pink with silver work on it, applied lipstick & kajal looking simply stunning, her hairs were open, Arnav came to the room tht time & got mesmerized by her beauty he was staring & she look nervous & said,
K: Why are you staring at me like this? Is it fine? Am I looking good enough for the party? for some time he was checking her out from tip to toe then said, something is missing he came nearer to the dressing table took a pair of matching earrings & make her wear them by himself, Khushi's heart beat goes fast as he was very close to her, she can feel the warmth of his body, after done with it he said now its perfect, she give a shy smile.
In the party all were very much impressed by Khushi, her presence of mind & way of talking was amazing, all Arnav's friends were praising her. Arnav was amazed & at the same time proud as he never thought a girl from a small town like Mathura can fit herself in a fast society of this City.
after the party both were going back, when Khushi saw a kulfi (( Indian dessert, kind of Ice Cream)cart & she was want to hv it, she asked Arnav to stop the car
A: whts wrong? It's getting late already
K: it won't take long let's hv it, I never asked u something b4,
A: ok
He parked the car in a corner &Both get down frm the car & went to that stall, Khushi asked two kulfi, while hving it Arnav was staring at her, she was looking so cute & innocent jst like a lil kid, he was really surprised to see so many sheds of her, sometime she bcom the angry bird, sometime so sensible & responsible & sometime jst like a baby & she was perfect in all angle, he smile as He saw the kulfi was spread in the side of her lips, he pointed her to clean in but she couldn't get then he softly clean it with her fingers , his fingers run over the corner of her lips she feel shy & softly said thanks .
