Tang Nuan stopped crying and raised her eyes with streaks of tears still running down her face. A graceful woman was standing before her. She blinked away her tears before she could get a good look of the woman. Then a flash of surprise and recognition registered in Tang Nuan's eyes as she whispered, "It's you?"
"I'm flattered that Miss Tang still remembers me after so many years," the woman said softly as she opened her purse to pull out several wet napkins. Then, she bent down beside Tang Nuan to personally help her wipe away the tears and blood on her face before straightening up and tossing the napkins into the trashcan in the bathroom. She continued to say slowly and gracefully, "Miss Tang, if you're free now, do you mind sharing a few words with me?"
Tang Nuan stared at her for a moment before nodding. The woman saw this and instantly broke into a smile. Then, she bent down once more to pull Tang Nuan off the ground. She told Tang Nuan, "I'll wait for you in the underground parking lot."
…
Tang Nuan walked out of the elevator and heard the sound of car honking. She followed the sound and saw an Audi Q7 parked in a spot near hers.
She walked to the car, and the window rolled down to reveal the face of the woman who said, "Miss Tang, do come in."
The woman waited for Tang Nuan to put on the seatbelt before starting the engine. She drove Tang Nuan along the streets of Beijing for quite some time before turning into a darkened alleyway that would not see any pedestrian activity.
The woman turned off the engine and asked, "Miss Tang, six years ago, I gave you the information that Song Qingchun and Su Zhinian slept together, and you had the time of your life spreading it around before high school graduation, didn't you?"
Tang Nuan was surprised that the woman would cut right to the incident from six years ago, so she was startled. She pulled her lips tight but did not say a word.
The woman did not mind her silence and continued in a gentle and kind voice. "At the time, Song Qingchun was looked down on by everyone at school because of that news, and she parted ways from Su Zhinian from then onward. They didn't communicate with each other for five years, and that was what you wanted, right?"
Tang Nuan lowered her gaze and responded with a question of her own. "I'm sorry, but what do you want from me?"
The woman also did not answer but followed it up with another question. "Do you hate Song Qingchun?"
Song Qingchun. The name caused disgust and anger to flash across Tang Nuan's eyes, and she answered without hesitation, "Yes."
"How much hate?" the woman asked.
Tang Nuan did not answer, but her hands were gripped tightly into fists.
The woman smiled disarmingly. "What if I told you that the reason I came to you tonight to is help you with that hate?"
Tang Nuan looked toward the woman with shock. "How do you intend to help me?"
"You two share the same company, so I'm sure there are many opportunities for you to interact with her, right?" As the woman said so, she passed a black bottle to Tang Nuan. "This here is a bottle of pills; the trace amount is so small that daily consumption will not lead to any damage; however, prolonged consumption will lead to more serious effects. If you can slip a pill into Song Qingchun's drink or food every day, with a little bit of patience, she will one day completely disappear from your life, and you won't be affected by her anymore."
"I've given you the method and opportunity; whether you take this opportunity is your choice, but a word of advice, this kind of opportunity normally only comes once." The woman then pushed the pills further toward Tang Nuan. Noticing her reluctance to take it, she opened Tang Nuan's purse herself and dropped the bottle into it. "Alright, it's getting late, I'll send you home."
