The red sports car slowly made its way across the theme park. Idly scanning the faces of the people amongst the small crowd, Jennie noticed that only Namjoon and Jimin came with Yoongi to the park tonight. Jung Hoseok and her older cousin, on the other hand, were leaning against the former's car. Her baby sister was nowhere in sight.
Min Yoongi remained standing in front of his men, his cold stare never leaving Jennie's face. This was the first time that the girl was seeing him like this since their wedding day; hence, she didn't know what to expect.
She totally understood where his anger at her was coming from. One thing that Yoongi stressed over and over again even before their wedding day was his seriousness when it came to her security. And here she was, sitting inside the car of a man she barely knew, as if she didn't hear a single word of how important her safety was to him.
She should feel terrified of Bangtan's future bossman and the consequences of her rash decisions earlier that night. That was the only logical reaction. However, her husband had been gone for more than forty-eight hours for a business trip. And so, all she truly felt was elation to finally see him.
At that very instant, Jennie acted upon the strong urge to be in Min Yoongi's arms, his anger at her be damned.
When the car finally stopped, the girl didn't waste any time in getting out of the vehicle and running towards her husband, eventually enveloping his lean body into a tight hug. "I've missed you."
She could tell that her actions and words caught him off guard. Nevertheless, he hugged her back just as swiftly. Burying his face in the crook of her neck and kissing the delicate skin in there, he whispered in a hard tone, "you and I will talk later. I'll deal with this bastard first."
With that, the mobster took a grip of Jennie's hand and pulled her to his side before facing Zico. The racer was out of his car now, just silently watching the married couple's short public display of affection.
"Give me a reason why I shouldn't kill you right now for involving my wife into your schemes, Woo." Her husband said in a calm voice. Jennie tensed up upon hearing his words. This was the side of Min Yoongi she wasn't ready to meet yet.
Zico, on one hand, looked unaffected. "You're such a killjoy, Min. Jennie-ssi and I just went around for a casual drive, no harm done."
Never in a million years would Jennie let anyone get hurt or murdered because of her. She squeezed her husband's hand and whispered softly to his ear, "he didn't do anything inappropriate, Yoongi. Let's go home."
The mobster completely ignored her. "I've let it pass when you interfered with my shipments two weeks ago. But, this is the last straw."
