{The Gate Stage is above, or to the side. It is much bigger in the story, the picture is just something that slightly looks like it.}
//THE FALL\\
Today was supposed to be like every other day that I had been living for the past years. Wake up, eat with the different hearts, help out the Cleaners all day, then sleep. It was always that way, until this morning when Aus invited me somewhere. Where you ask? I have no idea. But I decided to go anyway, it wouldn't have been a very busy day anyway.
After breakfast I went back to my pure white room to change into my daily robe that was folded neatly on the end of my bed. I quickly switched out of my bed dress, and left my bedroom. I waited in the kitchen for a half an hour while I helped Maie clean up the mess. I wiped the counters with a neat kitchen towel with steam flowing out of it. Steam, fog, smoke. I always liked those three things. I never knew why though. It gives you an advantage of hiding during battle, but really there isn't much of a point to it. Our city is full of fog, and clouds, yet it always seems to be bright out. But for me, that's pretty normal. After we tidied up, Maie ran off to where the other Cleaners were at so I waited until Aus stomped down the large staircase with some white slacks and a white shirt. He was also carrying a thick bladed katana sword behind his back.
"Why do Warriors never wear the formal robes?" I asked Aus curiously while standing up and facing him. He smiled at me. "You can't battle in robes, princess." He said while resting his hand on my shoulder and lead me to the front entrance of the castle. I sighed with a slight 'oh' as we opened the two large doors facing in front of us. The moment Aus opened the doors a bright light shone down on us as fog began to circle around our feet. He quickly shut the doors, and began to walk me through out the City in the Sky.
We first had to cross the large bridge which cut off the castle from the rest of the city below, so that took us about five minutes. Once we entered the actual city we began to pass many of the stores and restaurants the humans had. I smiled at a few people we passed by in the foggy streets, and they smiled back.
"Where are we going?" I asked Aus quietly with a small frown on my face. He chuckled slightly before he gave me the answer. "It's a secret. I wanted to take you somewhere, where nobody could find us, and somewhere we could talk in peace." I got quite curious as he said that. But I still followed him through out the bright, but foggy streets.
About forty-five minutes after walking almost everywhere, Aus told me to close my eyes. I could hear him open the door to somewhere, and he lead me in. I instantly noticed a temperature change, and I could feel the brightness slowly disappear. "You can look now." He said as I quickly took my hands away from my eyes. I stumbled backwards at what I was facing. We were at the edge of the City in the Sky. The place where hunters and warriors went through to reach Earth. "W-why are we here?" I stuttered while walking backwards to the door. Aus grabbed my wrist, and motioned me towards a small white bench. We both took a seat as I began to look at my surroundings. It wasn't very large here. But clouds were surrounding the Gate Stage. The Gate Stage was the area floating in the sky on Earth. It was small. But it had about four benches, and a few plants around. But, this is where some hearts take off and fly down to Earth. It looked almost like a little tower floating in the sky. Aus then sighed, which took my focus off our surroundings, onto his face.
"He wanted me to bring you here."
"God?" I asked curiously as I frowned.
"Uh-yeah. He wanted me to talk about your heart, and how it's special. He has been trying to find out what it is for the past few years, and he still can't seem to figure it out." Aus said, his gaze suddenly shifting from happy, to serious.
"H-he can't find my heart?" I said while standing up. "That's impossible! He knows everything! He has to know!" I began raising my voice. "I can't just be helping all the hearts for the rest of my life! I don't want to be something I'm not!" I said backing up slightly.
Then Aus stood up. "Listen, you know that it's not his fault. It's going to be something new to him, and it's going to take some time, so you need to calm down." He said while using some arm gestures. But, my mind was furious. I have been patient for a very long time. And god doesn't even have a small guess of what heart I'm from? A heart is what angels were born for. So why, why can I not be here for any reason?
"Aus this makes no sense!" I said continuing to back away. "Why can't he find my heart? Does it mean that I was alive for no reason at all? At least you have a reason for living! But I-... I don't have any! I feel like just a waste of space!" I shouted, causing a ring to shoot through us. Tears began to fall down my face as I gripped my hair. I walked backwards as my eyes were big. "It's not fair... I can't do this... It's not fair!" I screeched which seemed to cause a slight sonicboom spread between us. Aus clutched his left ear slightly. "H-hey! WATCH OUT, LIGHT!"
I then slid off the Gate Stage, and began falling towards Earth at full speed. My eyes were huge. "A-AUS! HELP!" I cried. I could hear a slight 'boom' in the distance, and Aus obviously took flight. But it was too late. I was going too fast and he wouldn't be able to find me now. Tears streamed down my face as my body felt numb as I fell. "Aus..." I whispered. If only I had my wings... If only I never got attacked by a beast... If only Aus could've saved me...
If only my body never hit Earth at a strong impact.
