Chapter 1

Sammack Packawats Yeilding Academy? Why not just SPY Academy?
“C’mon, c’mon,” I muttered to myself, “Ugh!” The pencil I was trying to balance on my pouted lips fell. I let out a big sigh as I looked up at the time. Still 5 minutes to go. I hate school; it’s just a useless thing grown ups do to torture us. I put my head on the desk and let out a huge gust of air and slowly closed my eyes. I loud siren broke my sleep. I groaned and sat back up straight. My teacher was right at my face. “Gah!,” I exclaimed and jumped. “Detention, tomorrow afternoon,” my teacher said as she turned away. I groaned and put my head back on the desk. I grabbed my bag and stalked out of the classroom.
I slumped down on my front steps and put my hands in my palms. Why is school so horrible? In front of me someone cleared their throat. I looked up and a man was standing there. I looked at him closely and saw he wasn’t just a man. He wore only black, had a utility belt around his waist with numerous weapons in it and he had incredible muscles. My heart started to race as I stood up. My self defence classes suddenly kicked in and I took up defensive positions. He was taller than I expected, more than 6ft, but there was no time to back down. He would definitely crush me. I expected more than what he did, all he did was hand me a thick package. I took it timidly. He turned swiftly and jumped into a black van. My eyes followed him leave then I turned and head inside. I weighed the package in my hands, it was quite sturdy. It got some scissors from the second draw and slit a hole in the top, stuck my finger in and slowly dragged it across. I saw the edge of a futuristic metal contraption. I started to get nervous, maybe I should have waited for mom to get home. “Too late now,” I murmured to myself as I took out the contraption. As soon as I laid it on the bench holographic image shot out. “Good afternoon Hayley, I’m Miss Perlume from Summack Packawats Yeilding Acamdemy or in other words SPY Academy. You have been chosen to attend our prestigious school to study along with the finest spies in the United States of America. I will send a package to your home tomorrow with all the details, locations and equipment. This academy is a top secret school and we would appreciate if you wouldn’t tell anybody about this opportunity. Thank you and I hope to see you next year.”
I was still in shock when my mom got home from work; I was in the same state when my dad came home. They were going to call a doctor but I showed them the video and they understood. I stayed home from school the next day so I could make a choice whether to go or not. Of course my parents told me to go but I thought I’d flunk out in one semester. Why does life have to be so complicated?

“Excuse me? Do you know where the num chucks are sold?” I asked a shop assistant. All of the equipment was so hard to found. I don’t get why they don’t just give you all the equipment. The rest of the school year went zooming by, granted there was only one week left. I was up to my last thing on the list, num chucks. They are the hardest thing to find. I have to go back to school 2 weeks before everyone else! They said it was to make sure nobody thought it was weird people were heading into town on a school day! The school is this place in the middle of town. I don’t get what’s so secret about it?
As I spent my last night in my bed until the end of the term I thought of everything I would miss; my parents, peers, bedroom and just being a normal girl. I looked around my empty room, mostly everything was in boxes. I started to think about what type of people would be in my dorm and how good everyone would be. Knowing my luck they will all be weird and annoying. I’ll probably flunk out in one semester anyways so it doesn’t matter. I’m not going to fit in at all; they would all be like super freaks. They will all be mega strong, co-ordinated and smart! Ugh the more I thought about it the less I wanted to go. My mind started to drift onto more less related subjects until my eyes started to close.
