INT. LOS ANGELES MENTAL CARE FACILITY DAY
Our opening scene begins at the hospital where Dr.Sid studies mental
behaviors. Sid walks into his office to begin his work day when he notice his
head nurce and staff huddled around who seemed to be a patient
DOCTOR
So how long has this one been like this?
NURSE
He's been fine since he showed up but the last few hours
he been rambling about this Nubrea place.
DOCTOR
So what has he been saying about it?
NURSE
Nothing really he just keep repeating the same thing over
and over. "My name is Tapeion, my name is Tapeion"
(sheesh where do these people come from).
DOCTOR
(Assertive)
Pull his file for me find out who brought him here and
what happened to him.
NURSE
(concerned)
Well doctor me and a few of the other nurses looked high and low for these records earlier and we found nothing,
we figured you had them already.
DOCTOR
(puzzled)
OK then I guess I get to have a chat with our new friend.
NURSE
Good luck, we've been getting the same thing since he
woke up.
DOCTOR
(faces the patient)
Hi my name is Dr. Sid. I am the head doctor over this
facility and many others.My assistants informed me that
you were found outside my office, in a coma. Tell me
Umm Tapeion that is your name am i correct?
TAPEION
(whispering)
My name is Tapeion
DOCTOR
Good , so we have a start
TAPEION
(interruption)
I am here to tell you a story of a world similar to the one
you live yet very different.
DOCTOR
(slowly nodding left to right, and speaking over
shoulder)
All right that is good enough for me. Nurse can you run
a few blood tests and swing the results to my office.
NURSE
Yes sir right on it
(Intercom: Paging Dr. Sidofus call on line 1)
TAPEION
(excitedly)
SIDOFUS! SIDOFUS!
DOCTOR
(suprised)
Nurse hold line 1 or tell em to leave a message I'll get
back with em later.
[The Nurse exits the room as the Dr stand with an awkward silence with
Tapeion]
TAPEION
(excited)
Are you TH'E Sidofus, Dr. Sidofus?
DR.SID
(Assertive)
In the flesh. Though you speak as if you know who I am.
TAPEION
(calming)
Well I have only heard stories, stories of your courage,
stories of your bravery and commitment to Nubrea.
DR.SID
(wondered)
Stories of me!?
TAPEION
Yes lots of em. But I am not here to share them with you
Sid
DR.SID
Then tell me, why are you here?
TAPEION
I am here on a mission to deliver you an important
message.
DR.SID
A message, message from who?
[TAPEION reaches in a small pouch tied to his waist and retrieves a tiny scroll
that grows larger depending on the reader]
TAPEION
Here is a certified letter from the royal consulate of Sevol.
DR.SID
(questioned)
The royal who what now?
TAPEION
This letter contains all the information that you will need
to keep things safe... I hope
