As soon as I opened the library door I am immediately assaulted with the cool rush of AC air, making me realize the heat outside. The Gamer's Body is certainly useful. After a few seconds of just standing there and taking in the cool air I continued on with my objective in my mind.
'Find some skill book and learn from them.'
As soon as I finish processing the thought a notification popped up.
*Ding!* You have received a new quest!
Book Nerd: Find and learn three skills in the library.
Progress: 0%
0/3 skillsRewards:
150 EXP
100 Copper CoinsAnd a quest is what it contains. I love it so much. Looking around the library I see quite a few mamonos here and there. A very puffy and curvy Owl Mage sitting and reading on top of a small shelf and a well endowed Lizardman(woman?), Which I did not expect but I can't judge, sitting two tables away studying with a sword leaning against the side of the table (pretty sure that's dangerous).
Wanting to see what Observation would look like used on living beings I activated it on them.

There's some more but I'll leave that to your imagination. Now onward to complete the quest with a stupid name. Seriously, why is the quest named that?
For comedic effect. At least I think, dunno if anybody's gonna find funny.
Ignoring the screen that popped out in front of my face, which did not startle me at all, I lazily looked around. The moment I looked at one of the shelves however, I saw one of the books give out a golden outline, pulsing once in a while. The glow is transparent, making me see the outline of the entire book. I looked around to see if anybody else is seeing this, but no one is paying attention, all engrossed in their current activities.
Turning my eyes onto the book again. Walking over I carefully reached out my hand and pulled it off the shelf. After it it's fully off the shelf the glow and pulsing stopped and the title read 'Fire Ball'. Blinking twice I tried to confirm if I read it wrong. Yep, it says 'Fire Ball'. If I remember correctly these kind of books are found in a fantasy world and not a modern world like this one. I mean, this technically can be considered a 'modern' fantasy world since there are monster girls so I wouldn't doubt it if magic exists in some of them like Lichs or Succubuses.
Saving the book for later I set off to find at least two more skill books. Thirty minutes of looking later I found four more books, all in the same way I found the first. Although the quest only required three I got five just because I'm greedy like that.
The names of the three extra skill books are the following: Frost Bolt, Heal, Double Strike, and Power Attack. Setting all five on a random desk I opened the book about Fire Ball first. As I opened the cover weird sembles started to float out of the pages. The Gamer's Mind kept me calm as the sembles flew into my body and head, before a numbing sensation spread throughout my entire body, including the head.
*Ding!* You learned a new skill: Fire Ball lvl.1!
So Neat. I don't need to read them to learn the skills. After the announcement the book suddenly vanished. I looked around again to see if anybody saw that and let out a sign of relief when no one did. The same thing happened when I used the other ones.
