Mix Her In

Minka and Lin burst in her room like a storm.

"Get up girl it's time to go!" Lin called.

"I'm in the middle of homework!" Toga grumbled back. She hated homework it was the worst part of school. However if she didn't do it she feared what Kurogiri would do.

"I'll help you later I took the same class after all! Right now let's go!" Minka pulled her arm dragging her away from the desk.

"Go where?"

Minka stopped, "hmm, let's pause for a second and, put on some cute clothes."

"You've got that right she can't come looking like that!" Lin agreed.

"Like I said where are we going?"

Minka and Lin looked at each other with a giggle.

"You'll see." Minka winked as she shoved a dress towards her.

"Guys! It's snowing outside, I have homework, and you're making me change. So please tell me where are we going."

Once again the two glanced at each other before shouted in unison. "A Mixer!"

Toga stared at then for a moment, then dashed of with the change of clothes, "Give me Twenty minutes."

Toga quickly changed and was humming as she did. She burst out of the bathroom after she fixed up her hair, "Ta-dah!"

"Ohhh! You look super cute!" Minka clapped a little.

"Thank you!" She chipped.

"Shall we go?" Lin asked.

"We shall!" Minka laughed pulling Toga with her.

As they were walking around Toga was questioning her friends. "So who's brilliant Idea was this?"

"My friend's." Lin said. "Apparently she needed three more people, I knew you two and she invited another friend. So it there will be about seven of us!"

"Oh sounds exciting! I wonder if their is anyone my age." Toga put a finger on her chin as if lost deep in thought.

"You'll probably be the youngest one there." Minka joked.

Toga stuck out her tongue.

Lin chuckled, "You're pretty young yourself."

"That's not relevant. I'm more mature."

"I don't see it." Toga teased.

They joked around some more as they approached the meeting spot. Lin's friend was already waiting with the other girls and waved.

"Glad you could make it!" The leader cheerful greetted.

"Thanks for the invite." Lin said back.

"The boys should be arriving soon, let's do introductions then."

"Sounds good to me.

The girls started to chit-chat with each other until the boys finally came. They went around and introduced themselves, Toga finally found out the girl who planned this was named Lanny. As she Talked Toga found herself liking Lanny less and less. She had an overly optimistic attitude, and a high voice that sounded too cheerful.

They each paired up using lots. Toga ended up with a handsome young man with slick black hair and a charming smile. It was hard to believe he was single. Lanny chuckled and led the group to the first activity, bowling.

Toga didn't do bad or good. She cheered and high-fived her date as she got a spare. "Well done he chuckled."

"I can do better," She winked.

"Oh, you can?"

"But of course." She giggled as he took his turn and ended up with a gutter ball.

He groaned, "I was so close!"

"No you weren't."

He gave her a charming smile and shrugged. He sat down as another girl went for her turn. About an hour later they moved on to a new location some people shuffling their partners, Lin approached Toga to do the same.

"Care to switch?"

Toga looked at the handsome man, "I don't mind, you?"

"I wouldn't complain to accompany two beauties in one day."

"Then I'll make myself scarce." Toga winked at Lin as she left.

She looked around at the boys and girls moving from one person to another a few staying where they were. One awkward tan boy waddled over to her, "sooo." He bobbed a little, "You got a date switch to huh? You wanna be my new partner?"

Toga couldn't stop herself from smiling. This time her smile came more naturally then with the guy she just left. It was genuine. "Don't know do I?"

He scratched his chin, "Well if not by consent then probably by process of elimination."

"No I think it's a good choose to have you as my date."

"Yeah!"

"The rest look too boring." She yawned while patting her mouth.

He laughed as the large group started to move, "Milady." He said offering his arm.

She grabbed it with a small curtsy, "Thank you, kind sir."

"My how rude of me not to introduce myself! I'm Wallace but my friends call me Scrap."

"The name is Toga."

They continued to chat as they followed the others into a karaoke place.

Eventually it was Scrap's turn to sing. He sang one of the many popular songs avaliable. Well he tried to sing it. He was off pitch and very bad at singing it, rather he didn't even sing the words right. He didn't know them and instead made up his own parody of it. He danced just as well as he sang. It was comedic to say the least.

He sat down with a proud face and laughter surrounding him. "How'd I do?"

"Terrible!" She laughed holding her stomach.

He smiled, "I'll admit singing is not my forté."

"Than what are your strengths?"

His smug face got bigger, "I'm a Developer in the support class at U.A." Scrap boasted.

"U.A?" Toga asked again.

"That's right!" He said Winking.

"Well that puts a damper on things."

"And why is that? You know most girls are usually impressed that I go to U.A."

"Are they know?"

"Yesssirie! Mind telling me why you think is a negative point?"

"Let's just say I'm not a fan of that school, or hero's in general."

"What are you? Some kind of villain?"

"Mmh... maybe."

Scrap chuckled a bit and Toga raised her eyebrows. "You're not serious are you?"

" I'll let your imagination do most the work." She flipped her hair before leaving early.

Scrap was Slightly charmed and more than a little curious. He watched her leave in awe. He looked around at the crowd having fun, no one noticing the girl who just left. She slipped out like a shadow in the night.

Scrap went to pick up his drink, as he lifted the cup he saw a napkin with writing on it.

"When did she-?" Scrap stopped mid question. It didn't really matter. He put the napkin in his pocket, maybe another day he would use it.

Another day in the future, a day when he too would leave his hero days behind him.
