In this fanfic, Geoffrey Charles never gives Drake the Bible as a gift that gets charged as stolen, so he is never delivered to jail and Morwenna is never blackmailed into marrying Whitworth.
Instead, George Warleggan has decided he will force Morwenna into marrying Whitworth, in order to gain favor with the Godolphin family.
Drake then persuades Morwenna to run away with him, to escape the forced marriage, and George charges Drake with kidnapping of his son's governess, sending his men to track the two down.
If they are caught, Drake will surely hang. Can the two escape both the past and the Warleggans?
