(Hello everybody! This is Natsumi_Kirigaya, her editor for this book and possibly every book if she accepts the offer! I will be editing some words in her book, but the plot will stay the same. I do not own this book. I'm just helping my friend with her book. So enjoy this chapter she has worked hard on!)

Sarah POV

"WELCOME BACK STUDENTS OF BAKER HIGH!!" the principal screamed into the PA system.

Students all over the school winced at the screeching sound.

"We have a few announcements for the first day of school. First off..." He continued cheerfully, unaware that no one was listening.

I glanced around at my fellow peers. They were all huddled in their groups of friends.

I sighed, I hope people won't try to be friends with me, I prefer to be alone.

I suppose now would be a good time to introduce myself. I'm Sarah Démon, and before you say something, no my last name isn't demon, it's deh-mon.

"Hush up will you, the announcements are on!" our homeroom teacher hissed at the students.

Everyone got quieter, but they were still talking.

I looked around to survey who would be the most likely to get involved with me.

As I was scanning, I made eye contact with a girl that could only be described as badass.

She had spiky red hair, piercings, a leather jacket, a black band t-shirt, and black combat boots that had eerily sharp-looking spikes on them.

I heard an over dramatic sigh at the front of the room.

"May, you've gone to this school for three years, you should know the rules by now. Spit it out." the teacher said while gesturing to the trash can by her desk.

I looked back at this May girl as she made no effort to move.

She blew a bubble and then snapped the gum.

"Don't call me May." was all the girl had to say in response.

I expected the teacher to pester her, as I had been at my previous school, but surprisingly, the teacher  just rolled her eyes and dropped it.

How come they never did that with me?

As if sensing my gaze, May turned and glared at me.

I was very tempted to glare back, but I don't want to stand out, especially on the first day. Instead I looked away from her and focused on memorizing my schedule.

The only problem is I can practically feel her eyes boring holes in my back.

Suddenly, the guy sitting next to me chuckles.

"Don't worry about May, she won't bite."

I turned to look at him and my jaw almost drops down to the floor.

The dude is gorgeous. Intense green eyes with perfectly styled blond hair. I shift my eyes lower to see the rest of him and notice that he's very muscular.

After a minute I realize that I was checking him out, so I quickly averted my gaze back to his eyes.

"Thanks..." I say hesitantly, I better be careful so as not to seem too friendly.

"You're welcome. So, what's your name?"

I judge that telling him my name isn't becoming his friend, it's being polite.

"Sarah, Sarah Démon."

He smiled yet again.

"Your last name kinda sounds like demon, don't cha think? Oh, and my name's Jake Wilson, but you can call me Jake." He winks.

I want to barf. Is this what they call flirting? I gave him a tight lipped smile before looking back down at my desk.

I hear shuffling and next thing I know his head is hovering next to mine.

"Do you need help finding your way around school?" he asks.

I lean away from him and feel my temper flaring.

"No, now would you please leave me alone." I snapped.

He didn't seem to get the hint as he moved closer to me and looked closer at my schedule.

Using my finger I pushed his head out of my space and then gave him my famous icy glare.

This dude is really starting to piss me off, so I figured scaring him couldn't hurt. Maybe then he'll leave me alone.

He doesn't seem fazed by my glare, which was really weird. No one has ever not been affected by it. My mom often jokes that it makes me look like the devil himself.

I look closer at his face and notice that there is a trace of fear in his eyes.

I smiled evilly, I still have yet to meet someone who is not affected by my glare.

"I have a map, now leave me alone."

I turn away, desperately trying to signal this conversation to be over when Jake spoke once again.

"Do you not want to be my friend or something?"

"No." I say as the bell rings.

"Oh." he replies with a dejected look on his face.

As I stood up, I noticed his face could be compared to a sad puppy's.

I feel a twinge of sympathy before I realize that I had finally gotten across to him that I didn't want to be friends. I shouldn't be feeling sorry for him, should I?

Bahh, my inner voice says, he probably has tons of friends. Besides, he won't remember this encounter, so don't waste time and energy thinking about it.

I smiled to myself.

My inner voice is right once again.

A/N: I know this chapter wasn't very long, but the next one will be. I hope you enjoyed it! Till next time, this is your hostess signing off. ;)

Note: I was watching Ouran High school Host Club when I wrote this so that's why I chose to say hostess XD. For those of you that don't know, Ouran is a popular anime that I found very addicting, even if the manga was better.

Note #2: I've decided that the first few chapters don't really portray Sarah the way I had intended, so I'll be rewriting them. Of course I'll stick mainly to what I had originally, but there will be many differences. Peace out peasants.
