Is it just me, or do these seem linked (in the anime world). Mei and Satsuki seem to be descendants of Howl+Sophie and either Kiki+Tombo, or their dad could be Kiki's uncle. My reasoning: Kiki's father looks VERY similar to Mei and Satsuki's father. I know that it could possibly be because they are made by the same studio (Ghibili) and the style. Mei also acts like a combination between Howl and Sophie, but it may be because she's little. Satsuki also acts mostly like Sophie. Mei's hair and hat looks likes Sophie's before she was cursed. If you subtract the berries from Sophie's hat and make them into hair ties... Plus, Satsuki and Mei can see the soot sprites and Totoro, which could be caused by the magic they could have inheritade.
