ACE's POV
I pulled up to the address she gave me for the apartments she lived at. I could tell she had money or maybe her folks had some shams to be able to afford the place.
I texted her:Ace: I'm outside.
Summer: Okay, coming!I waited for her and rolled up in the meantime. After about another 5 minutes passed, I watched her walk down the steps and into the parking lot. Her hair was long and curly & it blew in the wind. Everything seemed like it was moving in slow motion, like some shit from a movie. Or I was probably just high.
She had on a black dress that hugged her body and embraced her nice round ass booty.
I took off my durag, and brushed over my waves with my hands real quick. I got out and opened the passenger door of my truck so I could help her in."Watch your step."
"Thank you. Wow your windows are hella tinted, I couldn't see anything." she said.
I laughed and closed her door and jogged back around to my side.
"So can you tell me where you're taking me now?" She asked.
"Just be cool. And didn't I tell you that you could dress casual?"
She looked truly confused. "This is casual."
I just shook my head and laughed.
"So where are we going?"
I turned the music up. She laughed and hit me, "Don't ignore me!""Alright don't start no shit you can't finish!" I said.
We had been talking for about a week now. I would call her almost every night just to check in, see how her day was. I popped up at her job one day on her lunch break just to speak, but she made me order something and we sat down and ate.
She had told me about her dreams, and how she loved to write. She kept wanting to know more about me, but I kept saying there wasn't much to know. She seemed like the type to not want shit to do with my kind, so when she asked me what I did, I told her I was in real estate. I told her I got all my salesmanship from my pops, it was kinda like our family business. Which wasn't a lie, except houses ain't what we're selling. So tonight I just wanted to see what she was into. I wanted to take her to this kickback, have her meet the homies, maybe smoke one, have a couple drinks, and have a chance to just be comfortable around each other.
"Look, all that work you been putting in at the spot this week... I'm just tryna relieve that stress. You need a break."
She smiled.
I grabbed the blunt that I rolled from behind my ear & reached in the cup holder for the lighter. I lit the blunt and hit it a few times but she had stopped smiling.
I tried to pass it to her. "You good?" I asked.
She rolled her eyes.Summer's POV
"I don't smoke." I said, annoyed. It's like there's not one nigga in Atlanta that doesn't smoke. Even Celeste smokes but I told her I hated that shit. Even in college, I never did that. I drank sometimes but I hated getting too drunk, so I always preferred wine. I have honestly been getting peer pressured since high school and I never gave in to anything unless it was absolutely something I wanted to do. I even saved myself, when all my friends lost their virginity in high school. They would never let me live that down. They acted like they were waiting on me, always asking why I hadn't lost it, what I'm waiting on, etc, etc. But I never let any of that get to my head until college.
I had met my ex, Jay, while in school, and he had my head and heart all fucked up. I thought he was the one, and boy did I do some dumb shit behind him. Long story short, I had waited all that time to save myself for the perfect man and I gave myself to him. We dated for three years and then I found out he was cheating on me. I took him back a few times but eventually I reached my breaking point.
