It was finally getting cold in mid October. Jorge had been going to his new school for 3 weeks now. The deadline for the project he was working on with benji was due on Friday, so they only had 2 days to work on it. The decided to meet up at the library after school. Jorge had been waiting in there for 10 minutes and Benji still hadn't shown up. Jorge was about to leave when Benji ran into the library doors, out of breath.

"Where the hell have you been?" Jorge asked.

"I forgot... About... The project... And... One sec." Benji said between breathes. He sat down at the table and caught his breath. "Okay so... I forgot about the project and got on the bus. After I realized I was supposed to be in the library, I got off at the next stop and ran all the way back to the school."

"Jeez, you're an actual idiot." Jorge said. Benji looked at him and laughed. "Okay let's get started." Jorge pulled out the instructions and their work so far. Even though the two didn't even talk while working, they had almost nothing done.

Their Job was to research one of the optional poets and create a poster board about them. They had to add sections about different parts of their life and work. The two picked Edgar Allen Poe as their subject. They were both researching him and his different poems and short stories.

Man... Jorge is so cute... It makes me so frustrated... Benji thought. The thought of being with him... kissing him... Benji was staring at Jorge's lips and unconsciously bitting his own. He's so cute when he's focused on his work.

"Benji?" Jorge said once he noticed Benji staring at him. Benji was so lost in thought he didn't even hear Jorge. "Benji. We need to work." Jorge shaped his fingers in front of Benji's face and he finally came back to reality.

"What?" Benji said, confused.

"We need to get our work done. You've barely done any research." Damn. Jorge's mean. Benji thought while crossing his arms and pouting. Jorge laughed quietly at Benji's childish response. Ahhh! His laugh is so cute. Ah I hate this kid, making me feel like this. He can be such an asshole, but... I don't know, I just always want to forgive him.

Benji continued to type about what he researched. Jorge put in earbuds and listened to his music. Ugh. If he's wearing headphones how are we supposed to have a conversation???

"Um.. Whatcha listening to?" Benji asked.

"What? Oh nothing..." Jorge said while taking out one earbud.

"*gasp* Why can't you tell me? I'm so offended!" Benji said over dramatically. Both Jorge and Benji started laughing.

"I don't know. I just don't like sharing my music."

"I won't make fun of you." Benji said with an evil grin.

"Ha. Sureeee. I believe you." Jorge said sarcastically.

"Here, let me see." Benji grabbed the earbud that was out of Jorge's ear and leaned across the table to listen to his music. "Hey this isn't that bad."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"What? It was a compliment."

"It isn't that bad." Jorge said mockingly. Benji went around to the other side of the table while Jorge scooted to the other chair. The two sat next to each other, sharing headphones, and worked on their project.

The school made everyone leave at 4, so at 3:45 they printed out their research papers.

"So tomorrow we'll put together the poster after school." Jorge said. "And remember to finish your last bit of research." The teacher did that annoying thing where she doesn't let the students finish the project during class, but instead started something new before the due date.

"Hey um... maybe I could have you number just incase I need help." Benji asked.

"Yeah sure. Here give me your phone and I'll put in my number." Benji got out and his phone and Benji made him a contact.

"Here let me text you first to make sure it works." Benji said as he texted Jorge.

"Do you think i'd really give you a wrong number?" Jorge asked offendedly.

"Hey you never know." They both laughed and left the building. Jorge's parents were already there to pick him up while Benji waited a few minutes till his mom came.

Today was a good day. I'm pretty sure Jorge doesn't hate me at all. I guess he can just be cold when you first meet him. And hey, I got his number.
