Bang!
Then there was silence. That silence was short lived, and interrupted by choking, crying, and gasping sounds.
Betty Cooper was confused that there was only one 'bang' of the gun, so she decided to peak her head back in.
"Dad!" Betty fell to the floor on her knees beside her dying father. The one 'bang' the Coopers had heard, was Jughead shooting Hal. Jughead stood there with Hal's gun in his hand, he was shaking, and his face looked horrified.
Hal reached his hand up and touched Betty's face.
"I love you and Alice." He said with a final breath and his hand fell to the ground. Betty began crying, then stood up and stared at Jughead.
"You! You murderer! You will pay for what you did!" Betty was all up in Jughead's face while screaming.
Chic heard Betty's yelling and came in.
"Elizabeth, wha-" Chic stopped talking when he saw Hal dead on the floor. Veronica was the only one who dared to move.
Veronica stood up with shaky knees, and an unsure look on her face. She was standing right next to Jughead so she pushed Betty off of him.
"Stop! You guys need to calm down. Chic, I see you grabbing for your weapon, but I have a better idea." With a swift movement, Veronica banged the gun out of Jughead's hand and grabbed it.
She pointed it at Betty and in a dark voice she said "Sit Down, or he pays." Veronica pointed the gun back to Chic.
Betty's legs went limp and she cried out "Don't Touch him!" as she more fell to the ground than sat down.
"You! Sit your ass down!" Veronica screamed advancing on Chic. Chic laughed.
"As if I'd take orders from you." Chic removed a knife from his pocket. Veronica shot his hand.
"I think you will. Jughead search Betty for weapons. Reggie watch this one." Veronica was showing her mob side now and wasn't stopping anytime soon.
As Reggie came over and grabbed Chic by the shirt, Veronica snuck outside to find Alice Cooper crying on the ground.
"Get up. Now!" Veronica shouted at her. "Get up!"
Alice shook her head. "This isn't what I wanted. None of it."
"What do you mean?" Veronica questioned, steadying her gun. Alice just looked up and cried some more.
"No one was supposed to die. No one was supposed to be here. Hal said this was the Cooper's island. Why did this happen? We didn't plan for Toni to die, or Hal, or anyone!"
"Get up." Veronica shouted once more. "Or Betty will get it."
Alice got up then, shaking, she went into the cabin with Veronica.
"Sit down." Alice went to sit with Betty when Veronica grabbed her. "No. Over there." Veronica pointed to a spot away from Betty, Chic, and everyone else.
"Reggie lock that." Veronica said in a stern voice. "Archie, Reggie, watch Alice and Chic. Betty is harmless."
"O..K... Boss?" Reggie went over and frisked Betty. As he did this, Betty whispered death threats in his ear seductively.
Veronica stood in the center of the room, to her left, was her ex-best-friend; Betty Cooper. In front of her, stood her ex-best-friend's-fake-brother-and-new-boyfriend; Chic. To her right, was her ex-best-friend's-mother; Alice. And behind her, was a gang of LGBTQIA+ Women, Southside Serpents, and her friends—who were all confused as to what was happening, and quite frankly so was Veronica.
Veronica looks around and stands in a very 'sassy' way and says,
"We are gonna play a little game."
