Third person
*one week later*

It's three in the morning eight days later when Captain America returns home. He has grown some stupple on his chin and jaw. He's still in uniform, because he didn't find the will to change clothing at HQ.

He didn't expect to see his girlfriend sitting at the table waiting for him when he walks in.
"Thanks for calling me, elskan..." Eerika says sarcastically. She was worried about Steve—worried that he did something stupid and got killed.
"I'm sorry." He says emotionlessly.

He drops his shield on the ground next to the door and walks in.
There isn't any light on, so Eerika can't see the stained blood on Steve's face. Not until he sat down next to her.
"Bloody hel..." Eerika says when she sees him.

She unhooks his helmet and sets it on the table.

"Did you find Bucky?" Eerika asks as she gets up. She walks towards a drawer and takes out a cloth. She wets the cloth and comes back over to her lover.
"No. But we did come across a group of Watchdogs. About 30 soldiers against me and Sam. We won, but it hurt like hell."

"I thought S.H.I.E.L.D is taking care of the Watchdogs..." Eerika said.

"They do what they can..." Steve replies.

Eerika started to dab the wet cloth on Steve's face to get the blood off. He winced when the hot towel touched his face.
"Is Sam okay?"

Steve nodded in response. When Eerika put down the towel Steve leaned in to kiss her, but she pushed him back.
"After you shower. You smell like shit."

"Join?" Steve pleaded.

Eerika stared at him for a moment then laughed.
"Hilarious..." She said to ease her mind.

"I'm serious. We can turn the lights off—I just—I don't want to leave you. I missed you too much."

Steve has gotten over Peggy and has grown to truly love Eerika. It took him three years, but he just can't get enough of her. Her accent, her confidence, her willingness to help people, he loves it.

Eerika's kind of like Peggy, isn't she?

"Lights out." Eerika agreed.

Eerika took Steve's hand in hers and led them to their room. She got the two some clothes then led him to their bathroom. When Steve shut the door it was nearly pitch black, some moonlight shone through the curtains.

Right after Steve started the shower water, the two stripped down in silence. Both of them nervous, both a little scared.

Steve stepped in first and Eerika followed.
