MARY'S POV:
Since I had forgiven Luke, we decided it would be fun just to hangout like we used to. I got dress in a creme lace dress, with my denim jacket on top. I threw on my cowgirl boots and grabbed my bag. I pulled my hair back into a messy fishtail braid. (Mary's Outfit: http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=58521013 )
"I remember when you first bought those boots. You were so excited, you wore them everywhere. It was too cute." Luke laughed.
"Cute? You made fun of me for it!" I argued.
"In a cute way though." He winked.
"So where are we going?"
"The London Eye, of course." I blushed.
"You remembered..."
"Of course I remembered, London was all you talked about. Riding on the London Eye with someone you love was one of your things on your bucket list." He grabbed my hand.
Everything felt so normal and comfortable again.
When we reached the very top of the Ferris wheel, Luke took out a little piece of paper.
"What's that?"
"The couples' bucket list we made when we first started dating, I've carried it around in my wallet since the day we made it." He took out a pen and checked off the little box next to 'Ride London Eye with the one you love'. "I've really missed you MareBear." He pulls me in for a kiss.
**LATER THAT DAY**
*Knock Knock*
"COME IN!!!!!!!" I shout, "Oh hey Liam! What's up?"
"Nothing, just making sure you're okay. What are you up to?"
"You know, I think I'm okay, for once in my life, I'm finally thinking about something other than myself. I'm planning something special for Hannah's birthday! Wanna help?
Liam smiles, "Of course. What are you thinking of?"
"Something completely out of her comfort zone, something that will make her relax."
I hear my phone vibrate from across the room.
TEXT MESSAGE FROM: LEAH<3
Hey girl, have you thought of any ideas for Hannah?
I make a weird grunting noise, causing Liam to laugh.
TEXT MESSAGE TO: LEAH<3
Not a clue! Any ideas?!
"Hey Mary? Can I ask you something?" Liam questioned.
"Yeah, sure, what's on your mind?"
"Why do you like Luke? He's nothing but rude and cruel to you..."
No one says anything, we just look at each other.
"Because he's the only person who has bothered giving me that kind of attention I guess.."
"Mary, come on. At least 5 guys in this house are throwing themselves at you! You're just ignoring it because you don't want an excuse to leave Luke. You're perfect Mary. Wake up and realize that there are people waiting for you, but they will eventually give up on you if you don't notice them." He didn't even give me a chance to respond before he stormed out of the room. Wow, I have a really bad habit of making guys storm out of rooms.
Hmph, so much for helping me figure out what to do for Hannah! My phone buzzed again.
TEXT MESSAGE FROM: LEAH<3
Did someone say masquerade?(;
I felt a smile creep across my face.
I coudn't help but think Liam was right, I do seem to ignore those boys who try to get my attention, like Ben the other day. Liam walks back in to the room, interrupting my thoughts.
"Mary, can't you give me a chance? I am head over heels for a girl I met, and you won't even give me the time of day!"
I stand up to face Liam. "Here's your chance. Make your move. It's your turn Liam."
Next thing I know, Liam's lips come smashing onto mine. At that moment, I decide to let go of all worries, and kiss Liam back.
"Mary? What are you doing?!" The kiss was interrupted by Beau's voice.
Well this can't end well.
