                                                                   Lizzie | June 2

School had just ended a few weeks ago. I was in the my room with boxes surrounding me packing up my stuff to leave. I was moving again, and this move wasn't like the rest because instead of moving to a different county nearby, I was moving across the country to Florida.

I was kind of excited but kind of not at the same time. Boston is where I grew up. I wasn't ready to leave just yet but I guess it's now or never. I have heard some pretty good things about Florida.

It's the sunshine state. I was just ready to feel the sun against my skin and the smell of the ocean. I was moving to Bonita Springs, FL.

I didn't really have to say goodbye to any of my friends because I never really had any at school. All I needed was my little sister and my mom, it has always been that way, nobody else. I have moved so much around Massachusetts that there is no point to keep friends cause I always end up leaving. That is why I don't get too attached to people.

I was taking some picture frames off my dresser and putting them into a box that was labeled fragile. I heard footsteps coming from the hall and my sister peeked her head in and said, "Mommy said to hurry up, the moving van is here". "Okay I'm coming", I replied.

I hurried and put just few more things into my boxes and toted them outside to the big van that sat in our driveway. "Did you get everything"? my mom asked. "Yep", I said.

The van was going to go to the airport and our stuff would be loaded onto the plane. I was nervous to go to Florida but mostly excited. I didn't know what to expect. I didn't know what kind of people I was going to meet. I went inside to take one last look at our house that I would never see again. I walked around the halls and remembered memories from the past year.

I guess it isn't so bad to start a new chapter every one in a while. I went outside and got into the car. I buckled my sister up in her car seat and we drove off.

"I was up last night researching about the school you will be going to and it looks amazing", my mom said to me.

"That's great mom, I'm sure I will love it", I said.

It was silent for a moment until my mom spoke up, "You know I read somewhere that they have a really good music program that they do there", she told me.

"Mom I know you love hearing me sing and I love to sing a lot, but I'm not so sure I'm ready to put my voice out there yet".

She sighed but didn't say anything. I know my tries a lot. She does the most to make sure she keeps me and my sister happy even if she has to sacrifice things for her self. I know she knows how much Boston meant to me, but I know it's better this way. She will have a better job financially and we won't have to worry so much about money.

I'm lucky to have my mom and my sister. Without them I'd have nobody. My mom is very supportive in everything I do, but one thing she doesn't support is the lgbtq community. I worry that she won't except who I truly am but then again I don't even know who I truly am.

I get pulled out of my thought as we are pulling into the airport. My sister is in the backseat asleep. She must have been up late last night. I know I was which was why I couldn't wait to get onto the plane to sleep for 3 1/2 hours.

We got into the airport and got everything checked and went to find a seat to wait on our plane to start boarding.

About an hour later our plane started boarding. I didn't sit with my mom or sister, I sat by myself near the back of the plane. The ride was calm and peaceful. I slept through most of it.

-3 hours and 24 minutes later-

I woke up to the sound of the flight attendants telling everyone to put their seat belts on. We landed safely on the ground and started to get our stuff together.

Since I was sitting near the back of the plane I boarded off first. When I first got off the smell in the air smelt different. It felt fresh. That sounds weird but it did.

I looked around to take everything in when I noticed a girl. She was very pretty. She had long dark brown hair and she had tattoos all on her arms. She was standing up leaning against a wall on her phone. She looked up for just a quick second and she saw me staring at her. I felt my face getting red so I turned around and looked for my mom and sister. I found them and they walked up to me.

We went to go to the bagging area to get our luggage. As I was walking away I looked back at where the girl was but she was gone.

I wanted to know more about her but that was most likely the last time I would see her in my life.

I know this chapter is short and it was boring but please trust me it will get better. This was just trying to get to know a little about Lizzie and her family :)
