~Far from home~

I awake in a forest, expecting to be in my bed back at home. Where am I? I thought to myself. I look around, but see nothing. It was dark, I was scared, but then, I heard something. I look around and see a young calf. I was starving by the time I had gained conciseness, so I had to find a way to kill and cook the calf. It wasn't much, but it was something. I look around in the leaf litter, and find a sharp shard of glass. I sneak up on the cow, and stabbed it near its stomach, grabbing it around its neck to secure it if it tried to run. I stabbed the animal a few more times, and it went limp. "That parts over..." I say, panting from struggling to keep the calf in place. I stood up, and gathered resources to create a fire and cook the fresh meat.

~3 years later~

How long have I been here? I think to myself as i stay laying on a bed of moss. I had grown over the time I had been here, my clothes had become so worn that I had to make a new pair with sheep's wool that I gathered. Just another day in this damn forest... I thought. I heard a rustle from behind some bushes, and decided to hide behind a tree. "Who's there?!" The voice shouted. I began growling, then leaped onto them, pinning them to the ground, blood dripping from my teeth from my last meal. "Agh!!" The man jolted when he fell to the ground. "Geez man! What was that for!" He said. He looked about my age. I stumbled off of him, and ask "who are you..." he stood for a minute, catching his breath. "M-my name is To-Toby" he said, stuttering as he spoke. He has tics? I think out loud. "Yeah, not a-all the time, usually when I'm n-nervous or h-hurt" he said, laughing. "What's your name?" He asked. I hesitated, I don't remember my name!! "I-uhh.." quick! Think of something! "Shadow! My name is shadow!" I said, sounding convincing. "Cool!" He said, smiling. "Come with me, I'll take you back to the mansion" he grabbed my arm and drug me back towards a large house like structure. "We're here!!" He said with a smile. He barged through the door. A tall, pale figure came towards me, and my eyes went black. "Back off.." I growled. The tall man stepped back. "My apologies, I did not mean to scare you. Toby, who is this?" He asked. "Her name is shadow, I found her in the forest, she's really thin, she needs something to eat." He said, signaling me to follow him to the kitchen. "I don't need anything.." I scoffed, walking away. Toby grabbed my arm before I could walk away. "Your lying, I can see your ribs, your going to eat." He said in a more serious tone that before. My eyes began to turn red, and tar seeped out of my eyes. Toby's eyes widened, and he called for slender. "What is it now Toby, I-" slender looked at my eyes. "H-help.. me...." I whispered.
