I fell to my knees as I watched our village burn and our protecter, zero, fell to his knees in front of a trainer, his own blood ran down his cheeks like tears. "Ray we've got to run! he can't hold them back forever!" my best friend ellen held to my arm and tuged on my sleeve. "Ray, its not safe anymore we have to leave before they see us!" I cried as I looked at her. "I have to get something first!" then I took off towards where zero now laid and was about there when the trainer got in my way. "GET OUT OF MY WAY" I yelled, dodging his stupid attempts to hit me. Finally our eyes locked and i put him in a illusion of terror and ran to zero's body. Closing his eyes i whispered "rest in peace, zero." and took the blue orb that held his hair in a messy ponytail and ran.
I cried as we ran, soon rain started falling, dark, gloomy clouds forming. It looked as if the world was crying for the lost of so many children and families destroyed from a war that has raged between gijinki and humans for years, before even my mother's birth. "Where are we going ellen?..." I said through ragged breathes. "T-to the water village. M-maybe luma can help us. She always helps when we need it." I frowned. Luma was a manaphy gijinka and the leader and protector of the village. We came up to a big wooden gate, the water symbol carved into the doors. We knocked and a mudkip gijinka answered. Beside him was Luma. She looked at us in worry. We must have been a mess. "Come on inside! You'll catch a cold if you remain in this weather!" She pulled us in and lead us to her home, the warm glow coming throw the Windows. "Where's zero? I thought he'd be with you Ray. You guys where like twins!" I gulped back a sob and held out the blue orb, loosened my vice grip on it. She let out a soft gasp and glanced sadly at it. "Oh my..." she hugged me and Ellen, her brown eyes tinged red from crying too. Here...let me see the illusion orb..." I handed it to her, my hand shaken lightly. "Turn..." I quietly obeyed. She held my hair together and slipped to hand full of hair through the hole that made the orb look like a bead. The orb started glowing, flowing around my body, till my body was enveloped in light. I felt myself get a little taller, and my hair got longer. When the glow disappeared Ellen looked at me in shock, ears perked a bit in surprise. "Ray! Your a zoroark now!"
I looked at myself through the mirror that hanged in the hall. I am a zoroark now. I smiled softly and went back to the kitchen where Ellen and luma was cooking. "That smells good..." I said soft. Luma smiled and handed me some warm peacha berry tea as I sat at the table and they joined after setting up the table. We ate in silence for awhile till Ellen spoke up." D-do you think the humans will target here?" Luma frowned and at a fried berry. "Not now...there ranks aren't strong enough to take on a major village right now but it's going to happen eventually...if things get worst..." Ellen looked as of she was trying to pull together a plan. And Ellen's plans where always terrible. "What if....what if we broke into there headquarters....mess with there weapons...and release stolen pokemon... maybe we can slow them down?" See....horrible pla-..." that is actually a good idea if your careful." I looked at them in shock." Luma! Your agreeing with her!" She smiled and nods. Looked at them both. They're crazy...but I can't let Ellen do something so dangerous on her own."...ugh I know I'm gonna regret this but I'm in..." Ellen squealed and Hugged me, accidentally shocking me. "Heh..sorry~" I mumbled and excused myself from the table and went to bed. Falling asleep out of exhaustion.
"RAY! RAY! Let's gooooooo!!!" I groaned and threw my pillow in Ellen's direction, hitting her in the face and the pillow fell to the ground. "Whaat?!" I said rolling to my side, bad facing her."we've got to get going if we're gonna break into human territory~" I looked back at the window...still dark outside...."you owe me...."
We waved back at luma as we left the village and to the main trail. "Do you think we could stop this war?" Ellen looked at me hopefully."No....we can only slow it's Fire but we're just kids...you really think we can stop a war that has been going on for years! It's like throwing a cup of water on a house fire that has gone out of control!" She looked at the ground, her yellow hair fell in her face, her ears lowered. "Look...Ellen im sorry but it's the truth...." I said, we came over a hill and Ellen and me gasped. A human civilization...we've never really seen one, zero would show us ones from past memories through illusions but that was it. "Let's wait till night when everyone's in bed." I nod and we camp in the trees a few feet from the route.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~midnight~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We finally made it to the streets. Streetlights lit the streets and only thing we could hear was pokemon in the tree lines around the edges of the large city. Bird type pokemon flew among the stars and nocturnal pokemon roamed the alleys and roofs. The stars wrinkles bright in the dark sky above. We silently walked to the large skyscraper in the middle of the city...the headquarters.
"Hehe let's do this!~" Ellen whispered excitedly. I nod and we find a vent low enough where we can climb into and we start our journey into the headquarters.
Me and ellen crawled through the vents careful not to let 'them' hear up or we would be killed. we would stop every now and again to rest or check
to see which room were above.
finally we reached the lab. Inside were only 2 scientists, both experimenting on a eevee child, her brown eyes shadowed and her arms and legs were chained. "We've got to help her.." Ellen whispered. "Okay" with a growl I kick the vent screen down and fell into the room. "Hand over the girl!" I said glaring at the scientists. They flinched and turned around, scalpel still in their hands. "Drop the scalpels now!" With a clanck the scalpels hit the floor.while I kept the scientists in place, Ellen ran over to the girl and broke the chains. After knocking out and locking them in a closet we crossed the hall and turned to the kid. "Keep an eye out for humans." She nods and peeks out into the hall as we started to plant bombs on there equipment and weapons. Soon we were in the vents and outside in a flash and heading out into the trees where our camp was. "What was that?" The little girl asked "we're rebelling against the humans. Fighting back. We're Hoping that this" Ellen said smiling "will at least slow them down" she pressed a button and there was a tremor and yelling as something bursted Orange and red out into the city. "Y..your killers! That probably killed a bunch of people!" Irritated I bent to her eye level. "So..you don't know how many of our kind They killed when we did nothing to be attacked. Anyway the bombs were only to destroy the machines it's to weak to kill..mostly would injure alot of people but not kill.." Ellen smiled slightly at the kid sorry about her...she lost someone she cared about dearly by the hands of humans. She's sensitive. Now what's your name?" She frowned "I don't have one...I grew up there.." Ellen gasped and hugged the smaller girl. "Then we'll name you!" We all smile and sit by the fire and thought up names. "Yuki?""No""Sam?""No""...carly?""...sure""YEAH! " I laughed as Ellen glomped carly in victory. "Carly it is then!!"
commander Ray's POV-
"SEEENNNNNPPPPPAAAAAIIIIII?!?!? WHERE AAAARE YOU?!" I shuddered pressing myself closer to the wall. 'Please don't find me..please don't find me..please don't don't find me' I thought trembling as heels taped closer. That was allie, a haunter gijinka. She was obsessed with me,ever since she joined the rebellion. Soon after me and Ellen's first job people started getting word about us and fellow gijinka started joining us in our fight. It wasn't just sabotage anymore, it was now fighting. Soon our army got to the point where we needed a headquarters and head protectors of large villages,including luma, put in the supplies and money to build it. The impossible has happened, we might just be able to win this war! I chuckled, forgetting about allie and suddenly cold hands pulled me around the corner. She was grinning from ear to ear, a purple aura flowing around her making it cold around us. "Senpai! I found you~" I chuckled lightly shrugging out of her extremely cool touch. Y-yeah come on now allie go to your training session, don't want to be late " she obviously wasn't listening. I didn't like being the scary commander that everyone hates but sometimes it's inevitable. "Get to your training now! Before I have my second in command, ellen, make you run laps!" She flinched,being pulled fro her daydream. "Y-yes commander!" She said and ran off.
Sighing I walk down to the main floor and into my office, paper laid everywhere. "Ugh...messy"
I muttered under my breath at I ordered and stacked up all the papers and was filing then when carly came in. "Ma'am we have some trainers coming in from the east!" I sighed slamming the drawer closed." Prepare team alpha and set them out there..." she noded and dashed out, closing the door with a slam, cracking the frame abit. I closed my eyes and touched the blue orb, that held my long hair together, softly. Memories of good and bad came back like a tidal wave. I broke up into tears thinking about zero. "Why...why did they have to take him..." I sobbed, tears soaking my pants and desk as they fell. I wiped away the warm tears as I stood up and changed clothes and headed into the hall and head first into ellen. "Hey Ray, come on foods ready!" I smiled and ran with her to the dinning room. We both got our food and sat down and I scanned the crowded line where some had already got here. "Zero would be proud Ellen..." she frowned and then smiled softly. "Yeah~..."
