"Huh? Wai- ROMAN!" Roman woke with a start. His entire body was across your lap. "My, Virge, what have you done with your hair?" "It always looks like this," you retort, "Besides, I just woke up to you laying across my lap." Roman laughed. "Well, I would get up, but what would you do in return?" His tail wagged, just like a dog's tail would. It was half scaled, with some rabbit fluff and raven feathers. The bottom used to be black cat hair, but it was gone now. "Well, Virge?" You shook your head. "We could go out? I mean, we haven't been out in a while, so..." You trailed off, looking away. When you peeked out from the corner of your eye, Roman was smiling. "Sure." You look over, surprised. "Wow, Princey. You never agree with my ideas. Roman nodded, "That's because my ideas are usually better. But today you must have woken up on the right side of the bed for once." "Actually I woke up with you trapping me." You laughed. "Alright, alright, I'll get up."

--- It has been an Hour ---

Why am I doing this? Why aren't we taking the car?  You followed Roman through the crowded sidewalk. You kept your hood up, trying to sink into your hoodie. You looked up, expecting to see Roman walking in front of you. Instead, you saw nothing but the endless flow of people walking around you. You tried to see over the crowd. Surely Roman would stick out from the crowd. There was not a single person in sight who stood out. You tried making your way to the buildings on your right and nearly didn't make it. In the end, you made it. You sat down, your back against the wall, and started to pull your hoodie over your head. With the world blocked out, you pulled out your phone and started to dial Roman's number. It rang, then there was the all too familiar voice. "Hello?" You nearly cried, but contained your tears. "Roman! Where are you!?" Roman sighed. "I'm in the crowd, still trying to find you. Where are you?" You peeked out of your hoodie, looking for a sign, catching a glimpse of green. "Um, I think I'm on Elm or something. I can't really see it." You could hear the muffled drone of people talking through the phone. After about a minute, there's a reply. "Oh thank goodness. I'm on Elm too. Stay where you are." You let out a small chuckle, "Not like I'm going anywhere." Roman laughs. "Seriously though. I need you to stand still." "I'm sitting against a building, but sure thing. Love you Ro." "Love you too Virge." He hung up, and suddenly you felt yourself being lifted up. You popped your head out of your hood in surprise, only to see those lovely hazel eyes staring back at you. "Roman!" He laughed. "I saw you just as I hung up. Are you okay?" You nodded. "I nearly cried, and I might have panicked, but I'm fine." Roman let you down. "Why don't we go home." He suggests. "I think we've been out long enough.

--- The POV has Changed ---

You sat in your reading chair, reading one of your favorite books. You looked up at the time. 5:00 AM. I've stayed up all night reading again, haven't I? You sighed, putting your book up and walking to the kitchen. You pulled out a mug and poured some water into it, then set it in the microwave to heat up a bit. Meanwhile, you pulled out a teabag, a spoom, and a jar of Crofters. When the microwave went off, you pulled out the cup and set the teabag in to steep. You opened the jar of Crofters and spooned a bit into your mouth. Wonderful. Like always. The tea finished steeping, so you removed the teabag and went to sit down. You really must stop pulling all these all-nighters. You finished your tea, closed the jar of jam, then set everything where it belonged. Then you went upstairs to sleep.

--- End of Chapter Two ---

I wrote this at nine pm with no ideas, so I apologize in advance if anything doesn't make sense. Luckily I have Grammarly XD.
