Finding. Cherishing. Losing.

Chapter 3, Part-1

"We lost her heartbeat, so long it was there but faint. Now we completely lost it" this made my heart completely shatter to pieces. He was telling me something, but heard nothing. 

I walked  and seeing her state made my heart ache. There were so many wires connected to her, and of course the room was filled with a long beep so sound, which indicated that her heart was no longer functioning. That my other half is dead.

She looked so pale and weak, knelling by her side I took her hand, it is now or never for us. I started to speak.

"Bumble Bee, somewhere deep inside I know you can hear me. I need you, I had the best time of my life with you. You have to finish the project you have started, many lives depend on it. Come back, darling, please..." by now I was crying."I know we promised each other, that if our time comes we'll let go of each other. But it's too hard now. I WON'T LET YOU GO!!!! I want you back with our one big family like you would say. Fight whatever it is that is stopping you to come back to me. I can't live without you." I lifted my head to see her face, it had nothing, no expression. I heard somebody sobbing, turned to find that it was Lee and An standing on the doorway. both crying half hugging. They were crying like they were crying for the last time. 

I know they loved her, and wanted to be close to her now. But they just tried to give me some space. I decided to call them and be close to her. "Lee, An, you are most welcome to be next to her, no one is stopping." I could barely recoganize my voice. The second I said it, An was by her side, hugging her and telling her to come back. 

Lee slowly approached Thara and said,"I only know you for a short time, but you redefined me. You are more than a sister to me, a mom, who took so much care. If you weren't younger to me, I wouldn't hesitate to call you mom. I love you so much, our home wouldn't be the same without you. Think of Cayden, do you know how lost and broken he is? Do you having any idea of how you are killing him. I can't watch him like this. An, hasn't left the hospital since a week, she's either with you or Cayden. I am not coming to your funeral or stay at the same place where you stuff is. Because my sister and my younger mom are always with me." With that he stood up and said,"I can't take it anymore, I need some time alone. An, you can join me anytime. You know where I'll be." He walked out of the room followed by An.

I brought the arm chair close to the bed to hold her hand. It was warm and cold at the same time. But it was warming up, slow and steady. After a few hours, I heard the beeping sound. Looked up to see a breathing Thara. I couldn't contain the joy within myself. I mind linked Lee. 

'Lee her pulse is back! It is even stronger this time. I'll let you know when she wakes up'. 

Later, Dr.Reeds walked in. "I can't figure out what is happening to her heart, because this is the third time we lost her pulse. I am so sorry for what you have to go through, any help don't hesitate to ask me. I am at your service 24x7." he was removing a few wires that weren't necessary anymore and walked out.

I climbed into bed with her, I didn't have the voice to talk. So, I cuddled with her and fell asleep. I heard a groan, I thought I was going nuts. Then I heard a round of dry cough, I immediately bolted to a sitting position only to see the pitch black eyes slowly opening.

"Ca...y...de...n" her voice was rough. Happy tears were flowing relentlessly from my eyes. Her soft and fragile fingers wiped the tears, soon I could feel the tingles from her touch.I hugged her tightly. I never wanted to change this psition but I had to get her some water.  I got out of the bed, grabbed a bottle of water and made my way back to her.

"You nearly killed me, you know. I now realized that anything could happen anytime so I made up my mind. Thara, you do know I love you, I want to marry you and have family with you. You know what I have been through and waited for you. Will you do me the extrodinary honor of marrying me?" I waited for her response. She seemed to be thinking.

"Cayden, I have something important to tell you. You know I lost my pulse thrice, right" she waited for my response. I nodded. 

"I was taken to the Moon Goddess." She said with due respect and little sadness was glued to her eyes.

"What? Why? why would she want to visit you?" I ask.

"There is a big war plotted against us by the rogues and hunters. We have to join with the packs I've been told, they are about 7. We have a year's time to prepare ourselves. She said it was going to be an epic battle." Thara looked really sad this time. I knew she had more to tell. She didn't tell anything for a few seconds.

So I decided to prompt her."So...?What is that you are not telling me? I am your mate you can tell me anything." I said, concerned about the thing that was troubling her. I sat down next her, hugged her sideways.

"One more". She said looking into my eyes. I couldn't decipher the emotion displayed in her eyes.

"What is it?" I ask in the same manner, staring her eyes. Her eyes always have a certain effect on me which very difficult to explain, but that always brightens my day.

"I am a werewolf now. A white wolf, Pura Lupus" she said with an authoritive voice.
