"Happiness comes in waves, it will find you again."

                    -Malanda jean-claude.

................................................................

I was sitting in the cafe, waiting for Ray to show up while scrolling my newsfeed.

I saw a post of an entertainment page.

There was a link in that post with the caption: *The rising star is back in Manchester.*

I scrolled down. I mean who freaking cares about a star when your life is a mess.

The ambiance of the cafe was very cozy with very comfortable sitting arrangement. An orchestra was being played in the background. I took a sip of my mint margarita waiting anxiously.

"Hey, clay play." I looked up to see a smiling Ray.

She placed her clutch on the table while settling on the chair.

"Ah, it's yummy." She said gulping my drink in a single go.

"What the heck. Have a sense of shame, you hefty eater"

This girl never fails a chance to annoy the hell outta me.

"Come on Clay. We are Fraaaands. No not friends, best fraaaands. We can share...."
Her speech was interrupted by the call on her cell phone.

She picked the call up.

"Hey, cupcake, what's up." She greeted the person on the other side.

"Hey, hey, Cool down. Whaaaaaaatttttt. Oh God. H-How can I forget this. Wait I'm coming, . I'll be there in 5 mins" she replied anxiously.

The call ended.

"Is everything okay?" I replied with concern.

"I have to go, clay. I am so sorry. Please. I forgot to pick my cousin up from the airport. And now he is in a serious problem. Bye. I will call..."

"Relax, it is completely okay. You should go now," I interrupted.

"Bye byeee.", She said while kissing my cheeks and then rushed out of the cafe.

"So Clara, you have to deal with this anxiety all alone." I said to myself.

......................................................................

It was six in the morning. I got ready for college and went downstairs.

I was surprised to see Sophia sitting on the dining table.

"Oh, I missed you a lot Sophia. Thank God you're back" I said hugging her tightly.

"I missed you too, darling.", she said cupping my cheeks.

"But how did you came back so early?"

"We got the contract and there wasn't any work for us so we came back."

"Excuse me, Ma'am. The event organizer is on the line." Sophia's assistant Frank, standing at a distance rushed towards us and passed the phone to Sophia.

"Okay, you can send the prints to my office. I will select them."

I was curiously waiting for her to end the call
She gave the phone back to Frank.

"We are conducting a party for the success of our company. Also, a way to interact with other companies, since we are new in Manchester."

"And when is it?"

"Tonight."

"Umm Sophia, what if I don't attend this? I-I mean it's so tiring and I haven't been feeling well lately" I said playing with fingers.

I don't like parties because I hate to interact with people.

Maybe that's why Ray is the only friend I have.

"It's up to you sweetheart" she shrugged.

Never thought it would be this easy to convince her. Thank god.

"Thank you sisy. You're the best." I replied kissing her cheeks.

"Aren't you getting late for college?"

"Oh damn", I quickly picked my bag and rushed out yelling, "Byee Sophia."

......................................................................

After a tiring day at college, I was back at home. The house was being decorated.

I could see the workers moving here and there carrying different things.

The party will be held at our home.

My home is a Spanish style Palatial Villa so any such event can be easily organized here.

Although it isn't that big, it's opulently unique.

I went upstairs, to my room. It was a very boring day. Ray didn't come to college. So I was alone all day.

I was thinking of calling her but then Flora entered the room wearing a pink layered frock.

"Clara, I am gonna wear this tonight. Am I looking pretty?" She asked twirling around.

This little munchkin is the apple of our eyes. She is only five years old but still, she manages to speak fluently.

"My Flora always looks the best, " I replied picking her up in my arms.

Life looks so beautiful when your loved ones are happy.
