Song for this chapter: You need to calm down by Taylor Swift
"GO SHORTY, ITS YA BIRTHDAY WE GONNA-"
I throw my phone under my pillow to muffle the loud version of a "happy birthday" song.
It's my birthday. Woooooo, fun.
Remembering it's a weekend, I decide to shut my eyes and enjoy my slumber.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY CUTECUMBER" my mother screeches as she plows into my room with her custom birthday breakfast. Bacon and eggs in the shape of a smiley face, and ketchup on the side in a shape of a heart.
My mothers original choice of a career was an artist, but her parents had forced her to be a interior designer, which granted; pays much better, but in my opinion doing what you love should be more important.
But her bank account said different.
Taking a bite out of my eggs I smile at my mother as she snaps a Polaroid of me, a Polaroid picture and breakfast in bed has been a tradition my mother manages to continue every year. A little corny if you ask me but I love it nonetheless.
After finishing my breakfast and practically licking the plate clean, I set the plate on my bedside table and make my way to my bathroom.
After taking a shower and doing my skincare routine, along with brushing my teeth, I make way to the closet. About a week ago I picked out a specific outfit for me to wear on this day, I must say seven days ago me has good taste.
A pair of slightly ripped shorts, fishnet stockings that end mid-thy, and a T-shirt with the Asexual flag on it that I tie into a knot to make it shorter.
I decide I'm in the mood to go shopping, I make the small trek down the stairs to ask my mom for her credit card.
Speed walking to the kitchen were my mom seems to live these days,I approach her from behind and give her a big bear hug.
My mom let's out a small yell in shock and drops a spoon she was about to use to test some soup like substance. After her initial shock wore off she turned around and gave me a hug. Pulling away slightly she asks "Hey hun, whats up?".
"Hey, I was just wondering If I could go shopping for some more clothes and if I could borrow your credit card?" I ask, putting my best 'best daughter in the world' voice on.
She hums, "Sure Cutecumber, just please don't overspend." She says kindly.
After a few more pleasantries and her giving me her credit card I had taken off to the mall.
Pulling into the mall parking lot, I put my vehicle in park and get out, locking my doors behind me. I walk with a pep in my step as I approach the main mall entrance, it's when I see my reflection in the glass doors of the mall were my pace de-peps itself. Sniffdon is a few yards behind me, following me into the mall.
I start internally panicking as my now pep-less walk turns into a near sprint to the door, just as I open the door and begin entering I hear him calling out to me, in which I return with slamming the door in his face. I sprint off to the nearest store that he would be appalled to enter. Victoria secret.
I run into the store and shuffle to the back of the store near the changing rooms, thinking he wouldn't be stupid enough to enter a Victoria secret alone.
But it feels my heart stops when he walks into the Victoria secret, scanning the area for me. It's when I feel a weight being lifted from my shoulders when a worker approaches him with a sour expression.
But my heart probably stops for real when he say something to her, and she laughs and walks away. Oh no, oh God!
Doing the first thing I can think of, I grab a bra that is hopefully my size, and dart to the changing room.
Almost running into a vacant room and locking the door, I hang the bra that shouldn't even qualify as a bra up on a hanger and slump myself on a chair.
I'm drawn out of my thoughts when I hear a voice coming from outside the changing room.
"Hey,my girlfriend just ran in here with a bra to try on, do you happen to know which room she is in? She has curly black hair and blue eyes." He says with smugness lacing his voice, almost knowing I can hear him.
"I'm sorry sir, no one is occupying the changing rooms at this time. I'm afraid I need to ask you to leave" I hear the lady I passed running in say professionally.
Bless her soul.
After a few minutes, I hear a soft knock on my door. Cracking it open ever so slightly, I see part of the face of my savior from earlier.
Opening it fully, I step out in take a deep breath in and out.
"Thank you so much!" I enthuse.
She chuckles"It's no problem, no one wants to deal with creeps."
"Tell me about it" I laugh.
After some shopping, with me being paranoid that sniffy would show up and murder me or something along those lines. Jogging out to my car, I quickly look around the nearly empty parking lot, and shove all my stuff into my drivers side, and jump in, starting the engine and taking off home.
I'm almost half way home when I hear a loud animistic growl come from my left. I jerk the car to the right out of reflex, and quickly glance to my left to see a large grey wolf running beside my car.
All the memories I've worked so hard to forget come flooding back.
I scream in horror as violently yank the door handle, trying with all my might to open the door; but the lock doesn't budge. I'm forced to sit there as I watch a large grey wolf rip it's razor sharp teeth into the soft skin of my fathers shoulder and yank it's head. It's teeth latching onto my fathers shoulder bone and forcefully pulling it from his now limp body. Tears are burning down my face as I witness my childhood hero be dismembered and pulled from my life. The beast proceeds to drop his shoulder and move to his leg, chewing on it as a chew toy and ripping my dads lower leg from his knee cap. I scream and scream until I feel nothing but a pitiful wheeze escape my throat as my lungs greedily pull in small amounts of air in-between sobs.
It's when the wolf finally drops my dad's now ripped apart corpse and trots away to the woods with my dads hand in it's jaws when I notice distant sirens starting to invade my hearing.

"The body of 46 year old Trevor Grey was found in front of his car last Sunday morning. His daughter Kendra Grey was locked vehicle and witnessed Trevor getting murdered by a ravage wolf." The TV turns from a man speaking to a clip of me shortly after the incident.
"The car, it just wouldn't move he went to see what was wrong and a wolf came out of the woods, the door wouldn't open I couldn't save him- it's my fault, It's all my fau-" The television is turned off as I turn to see my mother holding the remote and starring at me with foggy eyes.
-
I let out a scream of shock and horror as I swerve back into my right lane, nearly going off the road into a ditch. Glancing to my left to see if the beast is still there, I'm horrified to see it even closer before, fur almost touching my car. A sob escapes my trembling lips as I push the gas even more.
I look back to the beast to see that it has come to a stop and is tilting it's head in confusion. I don't stop to think I just push the gas and make my way home.
