4) Foam And Jumping

"I have an idea," Bogdan announces at lunch the next day. 

"What is it?" Gem asks, with the others listening in, curious.

"We should play laser tag!" Hearing this, Patt facepalms. 

"Dude! We're in the middle of nowhere! You really think a laser tag center will erupt out of the ground sometime??"

And then, as they look out the window, a laser tag center erupts out of the ground.

Okay no, it doesn't. That would defy the laws of physics.

"Wait, let me see," interjects Stephan, pulling out his phone. Sure enough, a minute later, he holds up the device for everyone to see. Google Maps is open, showing that there is a cluster of shops and other things about a a five minute walk from the lone mall that they had gone to two days ago. 

"Okay that's final then, let's check out what's up there," Autumn says, standing up.

"Sure."

A little less than ten minutes later, the friends find themselves at the shopping complex.

"Oh look, they're a laser tag center," calls Maria, pointing.

"Oh and a TRAMPOLINE PARK!" Spriha shouts. "Let's go there instead!"

"Yeah!" Kat and Drea cheer. So, everyone enters the trampoline place, and Gem rents out an our for them. Autumn, Kat, Maria, Bogdan, and Stephan head towards the obstacle courses while Alex, Patt, Drea, Spriha, and Gem go to the giant trampoline.

"YEET," Kat screeches, attacking a hanging bag of foam stuff. Maria backflips off of a ladder, accidentally knocking Bogdan over. He, in return, pelts her with foam cubes that cover the floor, recruiting Stephan to help him. Sadly, although they don't affect Maria that much, Autumn was already trying to climb out of the cubes (it's much harder than it sounds) and gets buried by the incoming foam as well.

While this is happening, the others are having fun jumping on the trampoline. 

Well, kind of.

"WOO OOH, IT'S JUST ME MYSELF AND I," Gem and Spriha sing loudly, trying to dance yet failing miserably. Patt is mocking them, so Gem pushes him over and Spriha jumps really hard, sending Patt flying on top of Drea.

"Patty, what the heck?" she laughs, getting up and sending Patt flying once again.

"Ahhhh why do I keep getting thrown everywhere?!" he screams as Alex catches him and catapults the kid over to where the other five are entering the trampoline. This time, just as Patt is about to land on Bogdan, Bogdan sidesteps and Patt crashes to the floor. "OWWWWW!!!"

The others laugh while he whines, since usually it's HIM laughing at THEIR pain. What a nice way to get a taste of your own medicine.

Suddenly, Gem calls out, "Wait, guys..."

"What?" they ask, glancing over at her.

"We only have about half an hour left. Also, I just realized. We're supposed to go to school, right?"

"Yeah," Kat confirms.

"Well, not tomorrow. You forgot to check the date...it's only July first." Maria falls over.

"O h we are so dumb-" 

"Yes," Alex agrees. "Especially Drea." Drea's mouth drops open.

"Excuse me?!"

"Excuse you." 

And so, Drea spends the rest of the half hour chasing Alex around the trampoline park, yelling death threats at him. Patt just keep rubbing his butt because it hurts to bad, and Bogdan enjoys jumping while snickering at Patt's torture, and Gem and Spriha keep yelling songs. As for Maria, Stephan, Kat, and Autumn...they have a war with foam cubes, ending up with all four of them buried and almost forgotten when it was time to go home.

At least they had fun, right?
