Two weeks have passed and there's only a week left until we leave. We leave on Saturday. The movers are coming in today. Meanwhile, Amaiya is going on her third date with Corbyn. Lana is busy with her friends, so I'm stuck at home, alone.
As I'm watching the movers box things up, it finally hits me. It finally feels real. Lana and I were raised in this house. We've never moved before. Our whole lives were spent here. The move really isn't going to be easy. I don't even like travel that much, let alone moving across the ocean.
We'll only be there for three years. Two for me because I'll be graduating in two years. And one year for Lana seeing as she's a going to be a senior next year.
We're moving because my stepdad is being stationed at another base. He just recently married my mom so we're moving with him.
I did some research on Ramstein, which is the base we're going to. I found out that the base is huge. There's a store there and it's huge. On other military bases that same store would be the size of any other store. But at Ramstein it's just as big as a mall.
There are a few things that I would like to leave behind. Such as Daniel Seavey, he's my bully. He moved here three years ago and I had a crush on him in seventh grade when he first moved here. And truthfully I still kind of did throughout the bullying. Even though he made fun of me, I just couldn't get over him. Now that I'm moving, he's my last concern. I finally don't have any feelings for him anymore.
But then again, I do have to leave my best friend here. We are best friends and I can't imagine what it'll be like without her. She's my only friend because I never felt the need for any other friends. Not only that, but I'm considered a nerd. For her it might be easy, as she is popular. But not so much for me.
I'm an introvert, unless I'm comfortable, of course. But it'll be a lot harder for me. I'm quite and most people see me as someone to make fun of. But next year, since no one will know me, I'll have the chance of changing people's perspective on me.
I decided on going to the mall and shopping for clothes for the summer and next school year. Amaiya told me her date was going to be at the ice cream shop there so I have to be cautious and not go there. I'll stop by H&M and Urban Outfitters and maybe a few others.
