In any story there is a continuation a after after that happily ever after. In The Nexus there is never a happily ever after.
Nexus walked down the hallway surrounded by guards beside him was Dr. Oakley or in other words his father. "Now." Doctor Oakley Said. "Venderman doesn't mess around. What he says to you is very important" They walked down the hall until they reached the last door. Oakley opened it letting Nexus in the closing the door. In front of Nexus was a office desk with a glass window in the back with a brilliant view of Faction 1. A man was sitting at the office desk, he had black hair, looked like he was in his late forties, and he had a black business suit. He smiled. "AH Nexus Oakley such a great privilege to meet you!" He smiled standing up and walking over to him. "It's so great knowing you actually decided to give in and come over here to work at Vendertech" He walked up to Nexus taking his hand and shaking it. "Yeah now tell me what is Vendertech" Nexus said. Venderman smiles. "Ha I know you were skeptical coming here because we don't tell our business here but.." He grabs a file folder and gives it to Nexus. "Once I explain what Vendertech is here to do you'll understand why we are in the shadows." Nexus looks through the files. "So let's start. Vendertech is a new company. It's here to rehabilitate mutants and monsters, while giving us the ability to study them, and the public to see them without being in danger." He looked at Nexus for his response. "Anyway we wanted you for a couple of months now because you have access to our money makers to this facility." Nexus looked at Venderman. "What?" Venderman's smile grew bigger. "Don't play stupid Nexus you know what I mean. Grim, Aphrodite, 01, 02, 08, 09. We have 03 and 04." Nexus' eyebrows furrowed. "Who are the numbers?" Nexus said. Vendertech grabbed the file folder and showed the files for each number. 01 was Wraith, 02 Liam, 03 scourge, 04 Eris, 08 Nightmare, and 09 Kevin. Nexus looked at Venderman. "So my job is?" Venderman smiles. "Glad you ask Nexy, can I call you that? You are going to get them for us." He went to his desk and pulled out a briefcase opening it. The briefcase had a white suit with a blue Vendertech logo on it, and beside the suit was a syringe with a blue liquid in it. "You'll need these." Venderman said. Nexus looked at him. "So when do I start?" Venderman looked at Nexus with a even bigger smile plastered on his face. "Right now if you want." Nexus took the suit and put it on. It was like a turtle neck but skin tight, it had armor protecting vital organs and arteries. He also had a watch that monitored his heartbeat. Nexus chose black army boots for the shoes. "You look perfect Nexy!" Venderman said with the syringe in his hand. Nexus looked at the syringe. "What's that?" Venderman looked at Nexus. "This is a Updated super serum. It is supposed to change a few chemicals in your head." Nexus nods. Venderman walked to Nexus and injected the serum. "Now go get those monsters." Venderman said in a happy tone. Nexus got up and walked out of Venderman's office.
And thus that starts 'a new chapter'
