"Chapter Fifteen"

We got back home this morning and I guess us spending alone brought us closer...

And inseparable.

Even though I'm still David's girlfriend, I'm also still his video editor. Even while running my own channel.

"I hear wedding bells." Jason keeps saying.

Only the eye rolls are the replies from both me and David. For the first time in awhile, I actually get to see Liza with Scotty and some of the boys.

Liza has been busy directing movies and tv shows thus why she hasn't been in the pictures as much. Ironically, the cliche story is the ex girlfriend envies the new one and hates the new girlfriend with a passion.

Liza? Nope she breaks the cliche.

In fact, David is was brought us as close friends, actually.

"Heyyyyyy." Liza greets as she lets us in.

She lets us in her apartment and I comfortably sat on the couch with Scotty day on the other couch.

"You know you look amazing with that skin glow." Liza compliments.

Ohhhhh yeah... the. skin glowing... I blushed a lot.

"She probably had fucked David before they left." Scotty teased.

"Shut the actual fuck up!" I said, embarrassed and concerned.

Here's the thing... even though I said Liza breaks the cliche, I'm also yet afraid of mentioning David around her. I'm not sure if she'd flip or cry or both-

"It's okay, boo." Liza said as if she read my body language.

"Guys?" Liza paused as Scotty, Nick, and Heath went to the kitchen.

"It's okay... I am not jealous at all. You don't have to be scared to mention David around me." Liza lowly reassured and hugged me close.

"I know but it just feels so... wrong."

"It's okay, we broke thing off because we grown apart. I only see David as a friend now."

"But doesn't this hurt you? Not even the slightest?" I asked her as I teared up.

Liza sighed.

"It hurts but only after the first month of the breakup... I realized I couldn't find the mayonnaise and only found the one for directing..." Liza confessed.

"Can you share the mayonnaise?"

"Nope, gotta find your own mayonnaise."

"Speaking of it... I actually need you, Mae."

"Huh?"

"I have a movie that might be up your alley..."

I had got home later today with Liza's words in my head.

I never thought of being an actress... and working with my boyfriend's ex and my good friend...

"Babe?" He said as I had been distant since I got home.

"Sorry..." I apologized as we were editing his video together.

"What's the problem?"

I shouldn't lie to him...

"I'm fine!" I lied with a big smile.

"I know you're lying. Did something happened at Liza place that I don't know about?"

"No... Just..." I almost felt like I was... broken.

"Liza has offered me to be in her next movie." I finished.

David wasn't even angry just had a big smile on my face.

"You scared me there! But what's the problem?"

"Problem is that I have to be away for awhile."

"Define awhile."

"I dunno... ten months... or a year?"

David was shocked.

"A year?!"

"That's Liza's estimate but..."

David didn't know what to say, this is so much for him to taken in as Nathalie gives her friend a hug.

Nice going, genius. I thought to myself as I taken a deep breath...

"Where to?" He asked as I pulled out my phone.

New York... Nevada... Canada... then back here. Liza said in the text as I read then out loud.

"Wait wait... Canada?"

"Yeah....?"

"Sadly I can't leave the country."

"That's why I hated this opportunity."

"Then..." His voice trailed off before grabbing my hand.

"I know this is sudden and all but Maeve ever since we were kids I promised you I wanted to marry you when we grow up. We moved apart but god brought you back here to where we reunited." He said as we were standing the exact spot where I bumped into him.

"And I got to fall in love with you all over again when you stayed here after getting drunk...."

"Yeahhhh my bust." I said awkwardly.

"Actually no, it's like... it was destined. I know I sound crazy."

"Crazy? You're insane." I joked.

"I'm serious, Maeve! I want you to marry me!" He then blurts it out as I covered my mouth in shock.

"Ugh... that sounded wrong." He said mad at himself.

"Let me rephrase that." He said before getting down on one knee and held my hand.

"Will you marry me, Maeve Jessica Nielson?" He asked as his eyes glimmered and he had that soft smile.

"Yes, David!!" I screamed as he got up and immediately kissed me.

"God I love you."
