Onika made her way into the building she's worked at for the last three years with her Bachelor's degree in education while she works on her Master's for the near future that looked hopeful from what she would assume. Three years of working at Daniel H. Woods HighSchool right after she graduated from college, education wasn't her first choice of major at that time but as she went on it grew onto her. Especially due the fact of always wanting to help others in a sense but then it was with younger children whether it be the ones of blood relation or the ones she'd babysit when offered the opportunity. She listened to the landing of her heels on the cold tile floor beneath her as she walked down the hall already clocked in. She was mentally prepared for the day seeing as though since the students are older they are more mature to an extent in her mind which was true playing a real part in her job.

Being a teacher of high schoolers never really is how people assume thinking they all know how to act as mature adults with some common sense and knowledge but from her own experiences being in HighSchool herself and now that was never a realistic thing, she learned from a young age that the number you turned a year never changed your outlook or your ways it had to be from your own efforts in life. She continued down the quiet hall hearing some of her fellow coworkers in their classrooms as she would give off a greeting smile and to some waves knowing most wouldn't want to be here at the moment or just haven't completely woken up yet, she held her purse in her right hand with the two C's intertwine on the side of the black cascaded leather along with her fresh manicured nails she had gotten done over the weekend. She made sure she was well kept and not for the eyes of men or others but simply for herself, she could careless on impressing someone who wouldn't do much for her if she could do it for herself Real Independence.. she thought as she continued until her own room door was in her sights.

With a little more pep in her step she made her way over pulling out her keys to the wooden door she never was allowed to decorate, she moved to unlock the door as her hand touched the cold handle. Turning on her room lights seeing the room full of literature and books going from fiction to ones holding Shakespeare's words, reading was one of her favorite subjects in school helping her own way of words when she had dreams of being a music artist so long ago when she was young. But she matured and found what she believed to be her calling, teaching. Her family was in shock when she went into it though they knew just as much as her she would succeed at it and well she has proven herself in it thus far being the lead of her grade.

Nika then turned on the lights in the room before going to her desk to put away her backpack that was halfway full with papers and her laptop that was provided with her position, unloading her bag some of her graded papers fell out but one in particular caught her attention being the one she grades last night to only see it wasn't the students work but one of another. This wouldn't be the first time this has happened in her class but this would be the first of which was completely obvious. Bryan one of her athletes and well more careless students, was the one with the name on the paper but the work was far too sophisticated for his well-being since he could barely pass the class in itself so she knew the essay he turned in wasn't by him. No, far from in fact she even took the time out to figure out who he copied or got it from last night out of curiosity only to find a Beyoncé Knowles to be the only one capable of the work.

Beyoncé Knowles, one of her smartest students she has taught this far. That's what caught Onika off guard, she's the quietest as well having never spoke a word to her or anyone Nika assumes in that matter. The girl has always kept to herself shying away from attention and well anything honesty which is why the older woman deems it important to handle this at once. Nika picked up the paper placing it on the side of her desk away from the others as a reminder to go as plan she then went back to unpacking until a knock on her door rendered her to a stop looking up from the seat her bag was placed in. Her eyes fell upon Lewis Hamilton, the computer science and engineering teacher depending on the day. She gave him a soft smile while his widened in slight embarrassment "I'm sorry, I know this might be a bad timing but I just wanted to say good morning" he spoke as he dropped his head in a nervous manner before it lifted back up to see Onika's eyes were still on him "It's fine, Good morning Mr.Hamilton" she smiled as his grew along with the slight blush on his cheeks as he turned his head away looking out into the hall he was halfway in "Good morning Ms.Maraj" he replied back smoothly.
