Strangers and new friends

Lexi's P.O.V

I get up from my bed, still half asleep. I get into the shower with lazy steps. To be honest, I couldn't get any sleep last night. He kept running in my mind.

I look myself into the mirror and I still have yesterday's makeup on. I look like a dead chicken. Great. I step into the shower and as soon as the cold water touches my skin, I shivered.

I clean out all the makeup from my face and freshen up myself. Now, I get a chance to check the time and it says 8:23. Shoot! I'm gonna be late. The meeting is at 9:00 .

The drive will take about 15 minutes and I haven't even put on my clothes. I take out the clothes I saw. The top is kind of revealing for me but screw it. I don't have time anymore.

I put a bomber jacket on so maybe I feel secure. I quickly go to my vanity and do my makeup as fast as I can. I quickly blow dry my hair and curl it in a beach wave style.

I check the time again and it's 8:42. I make my way out of my apartment then downstairs. The weather is kind of hot today so I take off the jacket. Little did I know that Blaze was behind me.

He is checking me out and I don't know why I feel confidence but embarrassed at the same time under his gaze. He's in  a stripes button up shirt with first two bottoms undone. His trousers hug him so well.

Then, my eyes get to his hazel ones. They are so captivating and dangerous. Those eyes that make my heart melts. We keep staring at each other for a while then the sound of my phone brings both of us back to reality.

It's Zoe. "Hey mi.. Lexi, just to remind you that you have a meeting with Ms. Davis at 9" she said. "Yeah. I know . I'm heading there right now" I said then hung up.

I take a one last glance to him then he looks away. Last night, we were eating up each other's face and now we're strangers. I walk away from him and go to my car.

I make a quick run to Starbucks and get some brownies and cinnamon roll  Frappuccino. Good thing that the traffic ain't that bad today.

When I get there, it's 9:01. Ms. Davis won't be mad at me if I'm 1 minute late right? I quickly get into the building. The place is decorated nicely and it gives like some kind luxury vibes.

I walk up to the reception and said "Hi, I'm here to meet with miss Davis." . The girl at the reception said "and you might be miss Carson. Follow me" . She leads me towards upstairs.

The entire boutique is just beautiful. Whoever this miss Davis is, I bet that she has a great taste and I somehow believe her.

She knocks on the door and I heard "come in" from the other side. She opens the door and said "Miss Carson is here to see you" . I didn't mind about the figure in front of me who is facing me her back.

All I see was the beautifully decorated room. This looks better than mine. It is just something a girl could ask for. The office was gorgeous.

I turn my attention back to miss Davis as fast as I can because I don't want her to catch me drooling over her office. Then that shocked me even more. The miss Davis I imagined was a middle aged woman with brown hair and black eyes.

But the person in front of me has ginger red hair which is perfect curled and have freckles on her face. She is as tall so me so maybe about 5' 8" . She looks like a freaking model.

"I see that you didn't expect me to look like this" she said. "Yeah. This is crazy" I admit. "Well my name is Victoria, don't call me miss Davis, people will think that I'm a middle aged woman. Just call me Vic. " she jokes while extending out her hand .

"Hi, I'm Alexia, you can call me Lexi."

I accepted her hand and take a seat in front of her. I learn that she is as old as me and she used to be one of Emily's students.

"So, how do you want your dress to be?" she said.

"I just want it simple and elegant"

"But your mom told me to make it hot and sexy" she said. Why am I not even surprised. Of course she did. "Maybe something in between?" She asks.

"Okay"

"Do you want it skin tight or flowy?"

"Anything is fine but I prefer flowy better"

"Perfect. Now let's get your measurements"

Half an hour later ~

"Mrs. Carson told me that it's an important party, and make you look the most beautiful. Is it your engagement?" She asks.

"What? No! It's just a business party but still important though. Plus, I'm single. "

"Oh okay. Sorry about that. Imm, do you want me to set you up?"

"No, it's fine"

"Already has a crush on someone, I see" she said as she wiggles her eyebrows.

I blush so hard at the thought of Blaze.

"So, who is this lucky guy?" She asks .

I blush harder. "Well, I don't want to tell right now but maybe some day"

"Yeah, I totally understand." she gives me a warm smile. We hung out after it since we both don't have schedules anymore. She is actually fun and we get along very well. But not gonna lie, Blaze keeps running in my mind.
