I went to our room in our 1 bedroom apartment and quickly got out my suitcases to start packing before Jo could get home. After about an hour of packing my clothes, I was done that and put the suitcase in the trunk part of my Toyota RAV4 EV and covered them with a blanket. I then took out 2 empty boxes from the front seat of my car for everything else and went inside to finish packing everything else. I finished that in only about 15 minutes.

I then decided I should probably write Jo a note for when I leave so he doesn't think I just disappeared and died.

"Dear Jo,

I am writing this because I need to leave. When you drink, you get abusive and it is not safe for me, especially now. I don't have time to explain now, but I will write at least one more letter to you. Good bye, Jo.

Sincerely, Phoebe".

I kept the note in my pocket so I could leave later tonight and not risk Jo seeing me leave before he gets back. I sat on the couch with a salad and began watching tv when Jo got home. "Hey babe" Jo said.

"Hey" I said back.

"What, so your not going to ask me if I had a good time?" Jo scoffed.

"Did you have a good time?" I said sarcastically back at him.

"Whatever, I'm going to sleep." He said walking into our room.

"And I'm going to go get another salad." I said getting up, grabbing my phone, keys, purse, and quietly slipping the note onto the counter.

I walked out the door and got in my car. I quickly dialed Paris' number and I began driving.

"Hello?" I heard a sleepy voice say.

"Paris, I'm leaving."

"Well where are ya gonna go, huh?"

"We've talked about this Paris, I'm gonna start driving South West from Maine here, then I'll stop when I get tired and we'll see where I end up."

"Ok fine, call me ANYTIME Phoebe! And I mean it. call me right when you stop, and be safe."

"Ok, I will. Love you Paris."

"Love you too Phoebe."

And with that, our phone call ended.
