There are some times when Rin feels like seriously rethinking getting into a relationship with Len.

Times like these.

Rin sighs to herself, rolling her eyes at the person in front of her as she stirs her milkshake. It seems to her like this is the only thing she's been doing for the past hour- stirring her drink and sighing to herself. The ice cubes in her once frothy milkshake have melted and made the drink watery- and she's hardly drunk half of it. Her slice of orange pastry is in small bits around the plate, a result of her absently forking through it without really eating. Her boyfriend isn't even paying attention to her.

Rin sighs again.

What a shitty date.

She thinks spending time playing Spogs Racing with Rinto would have been a thousand times better. And that's really saying something, since Rinto happens to be the worst gamer on the planet. And Spogs Racing- pffttttt. Like Rin would ever play that. Ew. That happens to be one of the worst games to have blessed (or rather, cursed) humanity.

Rin's a pro gamer- at least as pro as she can be at 17, juggling studies, the captaincy of around 5 school clubs, her idiot of a brother, anime, gaming and of course, Len.

Rin is more popular in her school than even the members of the student council or sports players. She's a favourite among her teachers- a diligent, responsible student. Her friends adore her company- she's fun and bubbly. So many boys in her class have had a crush on her- all of which she had politely turned down. She has so many admirers, and yet why, she asks herself, did she choose this donkey Len?

Kagamine Len - just as popular as Rin (might even be more) but for all the wrong reasons. He's the careless student, the one who seemingly never pays attention in class and does his own thing, but somehow manages to keep the teachers' mouths zipped by acing his exams almost every time. He's pulled more pranks on his teachers without getting caught than you'd be able to count using both your fingers and toes, but he's gotten caught far more times than that. He sits in detention for no other reason than because he wants to, he says- which is almost every day.

A totally cool bad guy.

Plus, as an added bonus, he also happens to be the biggest, most infamous flirt the school has seen in quite some time. A total player.

Ask people, and they'd tell you that Kagamine Len flirts with literally everything that breathes. Well, that isn't completely accurate, but it kind of testifies why Len is the proud owner of the rather coveted title of having had the most number of relationships. Kagamine Len is the renowned 'playboy-heartbreaker' of school, and he bears this title like some kind of golden medal.

But his popularity isn't exaggerated; on the contrary, it's quite inevitable, actually. With honey-gold locks tugged into a small ponytail so messily, yet with such effortless style; bright eyes which are bluer and deeper than the ocean itself; a jawline with almost cutting edge; perfectly sculpted features – all coupled with elegance and charm and polished flamboyance- Len has girls swooning over him with nothing more than a simple wink in their direction. He knows the undeniable allure he carries- and he owns it.

He finds more love notes in his desk than all the boys in his class might have gotten all together, and yet, yet he had never actually committed himself seriously to anyone. He loves the little flings and casual dates he gets to enjoy without even asking for them- but his frivolous heart had never carried the burden of a proper, honest crush before.

And then, he found Rin.

They've been in a relationship for almost seven months- the longest relationship Len has ever been in (Rin too). Their fellow schoolmates consider it almost a marvel. Even Rin found it hard to believe on some days; though she mostly felt elated and really flattered at the fact.
