Gavin, Richard, Hank and Connor sat around one of the tables, the humans had coffee, though Connor was sure Hank had spiked his own with some whiskey.
"What's even the point in coming to work? We literally sit around and do fuck all." Gavin said, sighing.
"You get to spend time with me." Richard said.
"Right right, why don't you move in with Gavin eh Richard?" Hank said, "Connor lives with me, and he prefers it over staying in a docking station all night."
"Well Hank, Tina is very disturbed by my presence." Richard said, "If she wasn't, I would of proposed to Gavin already."
"Woooah. Slow down there Tin Can." Gavin said laughing. There was a short silence between the four of them.
"So ugh." Hank said, "I'm going to head off to my desk and do some work."
Gavin curled his lip,"I didn't know drinking whiskey was classified as work."
"Ah yeah fuck you too." Hank said, heaving himself up and walking back to his desk.
Gavin and Richard laughed, and Connor, who had been silent up to this point, spoke, "You should stop steering the conversation towards his alcoholism. It won't help him."
"Get your head out his fucking arse Connor." Gavin said, "Come on Richard, I need another coffee."
They both left Connor sitting by himself, who frowned, his head had never been- oh. Connor was still getting used to 'Human talk' as he called it. He lifted himself up, and began walking towards his partner.
"Is there any new cases at all Lieutenant? Anything?"
"Dry, everything is dry. I almost miss the near civil war we had, gave us something else to do other than listen to the shit Gavin says."
Hank groaned, and crossed his arms, "I might go to sleep."
"Why don't we leave the building Lieutenant, and go out to pass the time?"
"Your little android program shit allows you to do that?" Hank said, frowning slightly.
Connor refrained from pointing out the inaccuracy of that question, and just replied with "Yes."time skip
Connor And Hank were walking along the river banks, not saying much. They approached a bench, were Hank sat, and Connor copied him.
"Why did you want to leave?" Hank said.
"Hmm?"
"Leave work."
"Oh." Connor paused, "I don't know. I guess I wanted be alone with you."
"You what? Why?" Hank said, turning to look at him.
"As I said, I don't know. I've just been sensing an urge to be with you." Connor said, looking towards the ground.
Hank breathed out his nose heavily, "An urge huh?"
"I don't exactly understand it myself. I'll figure it out soon enough. You want some chewing gum?"
"Yeah sure," Hank held out his hand whilst Connor handed him the gum, "Where did you get this?"
"Gavin gave it to me, he wanted me to try it."
"Oh yeah," Hank said, beginning to chew, "Have you tried eating yet?"
"There's literally no point in attempting, I cannot digest it and it will just get stuck, and I'll have to get it removed."
"Ah, and no taste buds yeah?"
"Correct."
"Another reason why I'm only almost jealous, you never get to taste alcohol, or get drunk."
"From what I've seen, I'm glad I don't have the ability to."
Hank laughed, "I'll take that with a pinch of fucking salt. It's an expression." Hank added on, noticing Connors confused look.
"Apparently Kamski is attempting to design an add on which stimulates a drunk like state."
"Do androids really want that crap?" Hank rolled his eyes.
"I've heard that it's mainly humans that are friends with androids, they want them to experience raves and parties and drunk sex."
Hank began laughing to Connors surprise, Lieutenant, what's so funny?"
"I just remembered you're a fucking virgin." Hank said, tears began forming from the laughter.
"I don't see why that would be amusing." Connor said, but he was unable to stop himself from laughing too, for some unknown reason. They were both laughing together, and Connor felt something. Connor had no idea what the emotions he were feeling were, or even why he was feeling them, but it felt like a little warmth in his cold plastic body.
