Luke and Lucy

Xena's POV

What a way to start a morning. I sighed and wander around the Spade's property. This rich people really don't know where to spend their money. Who would want a large backyard that you could get lost to. If you saw their property in bird's eye view,you'll see its like a fortress surrounded by walls of trees.

I saw a large apple tree earlier when we drive by and I'm a bit hungry so I decided to find that tree. I turn in the corner and saw the tree. The tree is much bigger when you're nearer. I look around and when I saw that there's no one I climbed the tree. Once I'm in the highest branch that can hold my weight I sat down. I grab the nearest apple beside me and take a bite. After half an hour I heard a laughter and squealing. I look down to see a blond boy and girl with a big Siberian husky playing with them.

"Hey Luke can you get me an apple?" The girl said and that's when I notice that they're twins and in the age of four maybe five.

"Its high,I can't climb trees." The boy named Luke said. The dog begin to growl and bark at the tree or rather me.

"Why is he barking at the tree?" The girl asked.

"I don't know Lucy but do you remember what mom said about this tree?" So the girls name is Lucy.

"Do you think there's a ghost here in this tree?" Lucy asked and move closer to his brother while the dog continue to bark. I decided to go down in the lowest branch even though its still high in the ground.

"Hey." I said and they jump. Lucy giving a little squeak while Luke hug his sister to him. They look around.

"Hey up here." They look up at me.

"Are you a ghost? Please don't eat us." Lucy asked and I give them a smile.

"Do I look like a ghost to you?" They shook their heads.

"Do you want an apple?" They nodded. I grab the two apples above  my head and I jump down the tree. The dog growl at me and move closer. I stood still as I let it sniff me. I know I can kill this dog in an instant but the kids will probably get scared so I let the dog do its business. It stop growling and lick my hand. Good boy. I patted its head and give the apples to them.

"Here you go." I said as I plopped down and rest my back against the tree. The twins sit beside me and the dog lay its head in my lap.

"What's his name?" I asked them.

"Blue." Luke answered and took a bite of his apple.

"Blue?"

"Because of his blue eyes." Lucy answered her blue eyes looking up at me. "What's your name?" She asked.

"Xena." I said.

"You're really pretty can you be my girlfriend?" She asked. I can't help but burst out laughing. This girl will break many hearts in the near future.

"You're a smooth talker who taught you that?" I said and grin at her.

"Cassie." She said proudly. Luke elbowed her sister.

"She can't be your girlfriend because she's going to be my bride when I grow up." He said and go back to eating his apple.

This two will be a heartbreaker when they grow up that's for sure.
