"Billie, everything okay?" You ask, watching her fumble with her hands. She usually wasn't all anxious like this and the two of you were just hanging out like normal. You noticed something was off the second she walked through the door.

She nods, not saying anything as she channel surfs, forcing herself to do something so she can stop getting so anxious. You had no idea why she was acting like this. It almost hurt a little because you knew something was going on and yet she wouldn't tell you.

You and Billie have been best friends for years, and the two of you told each other everything. You were there for her during the bad times just like she was for you. While she got successful, you were there supporting her the whole time.

"I need to tell you something." She says, switching off the tv and turning towards you. You feel your heart start to race as those were never good words. She looks down, messing with her hands.

"What is it?" You ask, scooting closer. You felt your palms growing sweaty as she sat there, chewing her lip and not looking you in the eyes. "Billie?" You say, watching as she took a deep breathe, finally looking up at you.

"I need to tell you something. I've been meaning to tell you this for awhile now but... I'm not sure how you are gonna react." She finally says, her voice shaky.

You think you know what she's talking about, but you don't say anything expect nod. Let's just say you and Billie have grown closer than you'd expect, and not just in a friend way. You weren't sure if she was gay, and you didn't wanna ruin things if she wasn't and you expressed your feelings for her.

"I'm gay." She says, smiling after she says it. Almost like the weight was lifted off her shoulders and she was released from the hold. "And...I have feelings for you." She says, her eyes searching yours for some type of answer.

Your heart speeds up, your eyes going wide. You don't know if you should hug her or say something. Before you can hold your tongue, the words slip out.

"I love you." You say, gasping and slapping your hand over your mouth. You had no idea what just took over your body and got you to say that. Even though it was true. So, so, so true. You've been wanting to tell billie for a long time but if the feeling wasn't mutual then that would've killed the friendship.

Before you can apologize, Billie grabs your face and kisses you. You melt into the kiss, your hands going to her hair. It felt so good to kiss her after all this time of imagining it and longing for her.

You break the kiss, both of you panting. You skim your thumb over her lips, not believing you just kissed them. Her lips were so soft, you could kiss them all day. It was like a drug you couldn't get enough of. She was your strange addiction.

You hug her, tears falling from your eyes. You never knew you would be able to hold her in your arms and call her yours. You were beyond happy.

"I love you too." Billie says, wiping away your tears with a soft smile on your face. Your heart goes wild, loving even the small amount of affection that Billie showed.

"I'm gonna treat you right and take care of you. I'm gonna show how you a real relationship is." You promise, kissing her forehead. All you wanted was for her to be happy and taken care of, and you were gonna do that.

"Come here." Billie says, opening her arms and taking you in. You rest your head in her neck and she puts her chin on top of your head. She kisses your head, playing with your hair.

As you two hug, you've never felt more content with your life. You wanted to be with her forever, no doubt in your mind. You were happy the both of you came out with your real feelings for each other instead of keeping it in. The best thing that's ever happened to you, really.

And with that, you never wanted to let her go.
