(Y/n) hadn't been at school in nearly a week and the whole school was a little gloomy. She was a beloved student and friend, she made the place lively, having her gone was horrible.
Sasuke noticed the change just like everyone else did, but he felt it was... not entirely negative. Along with (Y/n)'s absence came Karin's absence. The Uzumaki female was expelled from their school for her actions not only against (Y/n), but also against many other students. Although Sasuke and Naruto knew (Y/n) was the one to thank, people praised Sasuke for it. It was inevitable, he was an Uchiha after all. People swooned over him, all of them did.
The only person who didn't was the one single person he wanted to.
"Sasuke, help me with this."
The teen picks up a couple thick books and carries them towards the taller man in front of the room. He agreed (due to (Y/n)'s whining) to help his brother clean up the art room everyday. It was a messy class, so it took them at least two hours each day.
'I swear if I didn't love you you'd be the most annoying person on earth.'
Itachi watches his younger brother as he stacks books together and slides them into the corners he was instructed to. He had been working hard, Itachi realized, and it was all due to that poor girl. Sasuke had never really tried at anything. It usually just came naturally to him.
However, art did not.
Sasuke Uchiha did not want to take an art class. No, he did is solely so he could be more like (Y/n). She was an artistic person, she loved taking classes to learn more about nay type of arts. The younger Uchiha had been paying extra attention and even taking notes because he knew she felt upset about missing out on Itachi's (rather boring) class.
"You're a really good friend to her, even if friendship isn't what you want." Itachi says as he sets paintbrushes in black glass cups near the huge sinks. He of course knows about his younger brothers... crush, if you could even call it that. He surprisingly wasn't concerned about it. To Itachi it was just going to blow over as soon as Sasuke realizes that he isn't really in love.
"... we'll be more than that soon."
Itachi sighs as they finish up cleaning the art room.
"It's Friday, go hang out with Naruto or something. I overheard him earlier and he's going to visit (Y/n) later today."
Itachi doesn't think he's ever seen his brother move so fast in his life.

(Y/n) sat on her bed clutching a green stuffed bunny with four little freckles on each cheek. It was a gift from TenTen and Lee. It was cute and (Y/n) loved it already.
The young teen is looking through pictures in an album. Her father was old fashioned and liked to keep all of their memories in a cute decorated album. It was titled 'Amai Mems'. She giggled when she thought of her father. Akira Amai was a silly yet loving man, he took care of all three of his kids, two boys and one girl. Her mother had left shortly after (Y/n) was born, so it wasn't like (Y/n) missed the woman.
She shortly came across an old photo she nearly forgot about.
It was her, Sasuke, Naruto, Ino, Sai, and Sakura. Ino was glaring at Sakura playfully while Naruto hung off of (Y/n)'s shoulders, the two of them smiling goofily. Sasuke and Sai were in the back playing rock paper scissors to see who would get dibs on the camera afterwards.
As (Y/n) was laughing Saiki, (Y/n)'s oldest brother, walked in her room, telling her that some people were here to see her.
As she made her way down the stairs holding Saiki's hand she noticed a familiar head of blonde.
"Naruto!" She rushed down and wrapped her arms around him. Sasuke was next to him and let out his usual annoyed grunt.
"Hey! Sorry I couldn't come see you yesterday, I had homework."
"Idiot. You never do your homework." It was Kea who said this, waving a spatula in the air while also wearing a bright pink apron.
Naruto said something back but (Y/n) was asking Sasuke a question so she didn't notice.
"Sakura isn't with you guys?"
Both Sai and Sasuke shook their heads, but Sai handed her a bouquet of pink lilies.
"These are from me and the rest of the school. We're all hoping you'll be able to come back soon." This one moment reminds her how sweet Sai could be sometimes.
Akira runs in the room, a box of chocolates in his hands.
"Papa? Where did those come from?"
"They came in the mail, they're for you!" He hands them to his daughter before patting her on the head and making his way in the kitchen to stop the argument between Naruto and Kea.
She opens the little package only to see white chocolate.
"Ah!"
There's also a note.
It's from... Ino Yamanaka!

Hey, It's me, your cutest friend ever (much cuter than Sakura!)!
These are for you, obviously, so don't let anyone else have them! I'm sending you these because I heard from a little birdie that some hoe hurt you in school. If I ever find her she's gonna regret even talking to you!
Anyways, I just wanted to tell you that I think of you everyday and you don't have to worry!
See you later, Cutie!
