(Y/n POV)

You chose the pro hero Edgeshot to intern at his hero agency. After arriving at his location he greeted you outside his agency's building.

Edgeshot: L/n, correct?

Y/n: Yes. Thanks for the offer, Mr. Edgeshot.

Edgeshot: You may call me Kamihara when we aren't working. Thank you for choosing my agency, I believe I can make a fine hero out of you.

You stepped into his agency to find that there was a small number of other heroes including the up and coming Kamui Woods as well as a familiar face.

Yuri: L/n! Surprise! It's me!

The cheerful girl quickly tackled you into a hug upon stepping through the doorway.

Y/n: Mori? I thought you would've gone with the Pussycats.

Yuri: Yeah, it would've been fun to intern with Akane, but when I saw I got an offer from Kamui Woods, I couldn't refuse!

Y/n: Makes sense. Your quirks are pretty alike.

Yuri: Right? That's why he's one of my favorite heroes!

Kamui: Ahaha...Thanks...Well, L/n. Welcome to the team.

He extended his hand toward you which you stared at for a moment, seeing as it was completely made of wood, then proceeded with a handshake.

Y/n: Thanks...So is that a mask or is it your face?

Kamui: A-Ah, W-Well...

Kamihara: Ahem.

Edgeshot cleared his throat gaining the attention of everyone standing in the room. He then turned to you with his arms crossed while you silently stood awaiting any orders.

Kamihara: Everyone! This here is Sunarashi, also known as Y/n L/n. I expect you all to treat him kindly during his internship here, and I hope you can all work together.

A unanimous "Yes, Sir!" Sounded through the room from every other hero including Yuri, playfully imitating those around her.

Kamihara: Now then, meet me outside when you're ready. I want to test your skills first.

Y/n: Understood.

You nodded, then quickly got into some athletic clothing before heading out to a training yard behind the building. There, Edgeshot was waiting with his arms crossed as the other heroes sat off to the side.

Kamihara: All set?

Y/n: Yeah.

Kamihara: Okay. Come at me!

Y/n: Yes, sir.

Knowing how Edgeshot commonly fought, you formed a staff with your sand in order to attack from a distance. You started by thrusting the staff toward him, which he easily dodged before charging forward.

You quickly blocked his attack as he swung his foot down in an ax kick. As his heel collided with your staff you quickly bent it around his leg, pulling him to the ground then sealing him to the pavement.

Kamihara: Is that all?

He folded his leg out from the binds as he swung it back, scraping your chin while you narrowly dodged.
