Phoenix was walking through the courthouse, getting ready for his next case. He soon walked by Miles Edgeworth though, but in the process, he saw something shiny out the window. He instantly recognized it as a gun, and it was pointed at Edgeworth, "Edgeworth! Look out!" Without a second thought, Phoenix tackles Edgeworth out of the way, instead taking the bullet in his own shoulder.
