Chappie Five - A Cute Relationship (Not Romactic)

' Hey Beth can I ask you something?' Ruin asked as Beth ran towards Lui's house.

"Sure you know you can ask me anything. I mean I won't tell you how to beat Free," Beth snickered, "but I will answer your questions."

'Okay um.... well. What would you do if... um if I was a, a um..' Ruin trailed off.

"Spit it out."

"WhatwouldyoudoifIwashuman?" He asked abruptly. Beth stopped in her tracks.

She held the bowling pin to her eye level. "Do you wanna say that again?"

"Uhm, I, uh, wanted to know what you and the others would do if I was a human." Ruin laughed awkwardly.

Beth started running again. She was silent for a moment then said, "Well honestly I'd stick you with Lui and probably not help you as much. I don't know about the others but, yeah."

"Okay then."

"I mean if you wanna become human team up with Ad so that when Valt and them go looking for Shu, you can go with them. Get one of those Snake Pit suckers to get you a body." Beth made a face. "That sounds evil."

Ruin smiled as best as a bowling pin can. "Well look who's full of evil ideas tonight. First with Liv hypnotizing Shu and now you want me to take over someone's body." They were at Lui's door step now. "Well this has been fun but alas we must depart."

"Good riddance." Beth said as she rung the door bell, set Ruin down, and bolted out into the night. 

Lui came to the door a second later, Beth was long gone by then but he didn't care. He had his Majesty back.

"Good to see you're home safe and sound." As much as Lui tried to, he couldn't keep the small smile from gracing his features, lighting his face up slightly. He didn't want to admit it, but he was growing a soft spot for the narcissist.

'You bet I'm am! It is thanks to Liv, though. She just couldn't live without my perfectness! I take you couldn't either, hm?' Lui let out a chuckle as he closed and locked the door to his home.

"Now you've got the wrong idea, Ruin." Ruin laughed.

'As if! We both know I'm perfect and when I'm gone, everyone misses me!' Lui smirked and put Ruin down.

"Whatever you say. I'm heading off to bed. Goodnight." As Lui turned to leave to his bed, Ruin stopped him.

'Wait. I want to know something.'

"What is it?"

'What would you do if I wanted to become human and became one?'

"I'd let you. I can't stop you from doing what you want as a bowling pin, so you'd just get more freedom as a human. Nothing would change, really. We'd still talk." Lui just shrugged. "Why'd you ask?"

'I think I know a way of how to do it. I just wanted to know if everyone would be alright with it first, I guess.' Lui nearly laughed at how Ruin wasn't being a narcissist for once.

"If anything, I think Spriggan and Valtryek would riot at first and then just immediately be okay with it. They'd be happy. Fafnir would probably just give you a smile and say that you can do whatever you want to. Just know you'd have to get adjusted to being a human before going out a lot." With that, Lui left Ruin to his own thoughts.

'Would I make for a good human?'
