Chappie Seven - A Weird Relationship (Still Not Romantic)

Beth was making her way back to BC Sol. It took her all night because she didn't care. She was so lost in thought that she almost missed the limo that was parked in front of BC Sol.

"Who the heck-" She started but then realized who it was. "Why is Wakiya here?" Beth made her way to Chris' office where they most likely were.

Beth stopped in front of the door where she heard voices. Naturally she stopped to ease drop.

"You can't go. The team needs you all here!" A voice that clearly belonged to Chris said.

"Yeah but Shu needs us there," another voice argued. It was Valt's.

Beth wanted to open the door and crash the conversation but something told her that it would only make it go worse. She continued to listen.

"I know Shu is your friend but right now the team needs you guys here. With Free gone y'all are the only thing holding the team together," Chris said clearly getting agitated. Beth could almost see her face, she so wanted to be in there to annoy her more.

"That's why you have Beth!"

Beth burst out laughing and opened the door. Inside was not only Chris and Valt but also Wakiya, Rantaro, and Ad who had a guilty look on her face. "Hey Chrissy," Beth called out, "I hear these guys wanna go somewhere."

"That is none of your business." Christina was practally fumming now.

"No it's not but personally I'd take a plane ride over teleportation any day."

"You're coming with us?" Valt asked his eyes all sparkling.

"Sure!" Beth smiled, "where are we going?"

"To find Shu!"

"Well we better get on it then," Beth said helping Ad to her feet. "Y'all get your stuff ready me and Ad will meet you at the airport." Beth escorted Ad out of BC Sol. Beth started running and Ad kept pace with her. They tracked in silence for a while.

Finally Ad spoke up, "where are we going?"

"Ruin wants to be human," Beth replied.

"Oh." Ad was silent for a second. "So we're going to get him?" Beth nodded.

They traveled the rest of the way in silence. When they made it to Lui's house Beth just barged in the door. Both of the girls took off their shoes and headed to the kitchen. Lui was there eating breakfast with Ruin in the table beside him.

"What are you two doing here?" Lui questioned without looking up.

"Your door was unlocked," Beth responded leaning against the wall. Ad remained silent, she didn't really talk to Lui much mainly just grabbed Ruin and left.

Lui finally looked at them a scowl on his face. "Either one of you want to tell me where he was?" He jerked a finger towards Ruin.

'I'm not just a he! Call me by my name! I am Ruin the most fantastic and strongest majesty of all' Ruin chimed in.

"Nah not really," Beth moved to take Ruin off the table. "But ya know we kinda need him for a few days." Beth grabbed both Ruin and Ad then headed for the door. "BYYYEE." Lui was left speechless.

LATER:

"Welcome to Mexico," Wakiya said as they got off the plane.

There was a collection of wows and finally off the plane statements.

"Fun, but imma go now," Beth tossed Ruin to Ad and then 'teleported' to where ever the heck Free was. Unfortunately Free was parachuting off of a building with Joshua and Beth was now free falling.

Neither of them had seen her yet so she decided to make a very stupid entrance. "So, where we going?" She called out. Both Free's and Joshua's heads snapped to look at her. "Down right?" Beth chuckled.

"Who are you?" Joshua called out.

Meanwhile Free just said a simple "Hey Beth."

"Pleasure to meet ya. I'm Beth. And we are getting very close to the ground." Free and Joshua landed on their feet and Beth did a tuck-and-roll and somehow ended up back on her feet.

"So who are you again?" Joshua asked again while taking off his parachute.

"That's Beth," Free spoke up.

"Hi," Beth said unemotionally waving with one hand.

"Okay so what is she doing here?" Joshua was now making jesters with his hands.

"Don't know, and don't really care," Free said walking off.

"Rude. It's your fault I'm here. Or is it my fault? I don't really know but I'm here and y'all are stuck with me." Beth said walking up to Free with Joshua beside her.

"I'm just going to go and I'll see you tomorrow I guess." Joshua said starting to walk the other direction. Once he was out of hearing range Beth spoke up.

"Ya know I used to smuggle pictures of you to his Majesty," Free looked at her like she was crazy. "Who know what happened to those."

"What?"

"Yeah I think she started selling them, to be honest don't really know."

"So that's where all of those pictures came from," Free stated. Beth cocked her head to the side looking at him. Free went on, "His room is completely covered in pictures of me. Kinda creepy," Free smiled almost releaved now that he knew how Joshua got the pictures.

"Really?" Beth was full on laughing. "So that's where they went. Ya know he doesn't seem like much of a creep."

"So why are you really here?"

Beth shrugged. "Chrissy is being irrational. There are missing bladers all over. Valt and them are at the snake pit. I got bored mostly. Yeah that was it."

"Wait who's at the snake pit?" Free looked at Beth we a look almost like concern.

"Valt, Ad, Rantaro, Wakia, Who else? Oh and a kid named Diago." Beth counted on her fingers. Free continued to look at her. "They went to find Shu, ya know the kid who went missing because you told him how much of a failure he was?"

"I didn't tell him that."

"Yeah ya did."

"Don't think so."

"I do."

"Nah."

"Yeah"

"Whatever"

"You're just mad because I'm right." Beth said.

"Whatever."

Sorry I didn't update yesterday. I was - and still am - very sick to the point I'm literally crying from pain. Good news: I'll be going to the doctor today. Bad news: I don't know when and I have no idea when I'll get better.
