A/N: Hi bröthers. Ok so a lil info on (Y/n). She's a bard. Honestly, it'll be a recurring thing with my stories to make (Y/n) have music in her life and personality. Reason being; literally the only thing I can do is musical theater and I love singing. (Y/n) is 18, and, assuming Shield Hero takes place in/around the Middle Ages, you will play a lyre as your main instrument and keep a fiddle on your person at all times.

List of stuff you'll need to know:
(Y/n)= your name
(L/n)= last name
(f/c)= fav color
(f/f)= fav food
(h/c)= hair color
(e/c)= eye color
(m/c)= magic color (Pick one please you sick fucks)

So the chapter below is (Y/n)'s life and doesn't have much to do with her meeting Noafumi. Andddd I think that's it. I guess we'll start now :)))

Edit: my dumbass thought it was a lance Instead of a spear so I changed that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everything around me was dark. Void of any light, I drifted around in the inky black waves of nothing I had come to know very well. This was not my first time here, and it certainly won't be my last. I don't come here of my own will, but I don't appear here randomly.
The first time I came to the 'Login Screen' was not a pleasant time. It wasn't a nightmare, but it left me scared and confused.
In big white letters plastered to the black wall, it had asked me what I called myself. I answered truthfully: (Y/n) (L/n). The letters of my name appeared in a white outlined, black rectangle. '(Y/n) (L/n)' it questioned again in white. 'Is this correct?' I nodded my head, curious of what it will ask me next.
The words stopped for a brief while. I sat on the floor of the black room and waited. My eyes closed, and a sigh escaped my chapped lips. The last performance had me beat.
Suddenly, a bow, spear, and sword appeared in front of me. The white letters told me to 'Choose the one that will save your life.' I looked over the weapons again.
My eyes scanned over the bow, and I began to think. 'A bow is most practical for long range of course, meaning I wouldn't have to fight up close. But saving my life? No. What weapon does the other person have? Do they use magic? Is the bow I'm using made of wood? I don't think this one would be wise to choose.'
My gaze shifted to the spear. 'Absolutely not. I refuse to use that weapon.' I looked away with a huff.
The only weapon left was the sword. 'Of course this one can parry attacks but my skill with a sword is absolute shit. I would be better off naked and fighting with a hunk of iron than using a sword I have no clue how to wield.'
I looked up at the wall again. "Are there any other options besides these three?"
The abyss doesn't answer, but I hear a faint 'tink' behind me. I turn and stare at the wooden shield. Metal encases the wooden square on all sides, and a green gem resides in the center of it. 'A shield. Why wasn't I given this option before I wonder?' I slowly stand up and make my way towards the piece of wood.
As I reach the shield, I stop and look back at the wall. Nothing. I turn back. The shield is gone, and in its place are simple, white words that read 'You have one day to prepare yourself (Y/n).' The statement brought fear into my heart. A chill runs down my spine. I want to question the words. "Prepare for what?" I might have said if the words weren't trapped by the fear swelling in my mind.
The black void had faded and I woke up. I had no idea what I was preparing for, so I bought all the healing potions I could afford and leveled up as much as possible.
