1,000 Years Ago

"Torvo! Give yourself up, your reign of terror is over!" The royal guard swarms around a hovering cloaked figure, weapons raised to strike him down.

"Never..." His raspy voice whispered in their minds as he summoned purple flames and took them all out in one go.

As they fell to the ground and their inventory popped out in a despawn cloud, two more figures appeared; one man was wearing a brown shirt, gray pants, black shoes, and had a thick beard, the other man was wearing a light blue shirt, darker blue pants, gray shoes, and had brown eyes over a beard.

Torvo was readying another shot of purple flames, but the men just raised their hands closest to each other, they glowed a bright white and Torvo felt his power begin to leave him.

"Noooo..." Torvo fell to his knees as his powers were extracted in streaks that were concentrated into a single cube of bright purple light before passing out. The men lowered their hands, the first man looking down at the cube of power in his hand.

"I believe you would be better suited in taking care of these powers, Melaferrum." The first man held out the cube to a young woman who had come running up behind them holding a leather-bound book that had strange symbols carved into its cover. She had long brown hair, one brown eye, and one blind gray eye, wore thin-rimmed glasses, and a brown robe with a large hood.

"I have acquired Torvo's book" The woman breathed heavily holding up the book before pushing her glasses back onto her face and putting on a serious face, "This kind of power is too dangerous in the wrong hands." Melaferrum told the men as she took the cube of light in her free hand.

Uttering a gibberish sounding ancient language, the book began breaking it apart to where all the pages were ripped out and sent flying into various, random directions except one which clung to the book cover, but it was sent flying off as well.

"Thank you, Torvo will be banished for his crimes, but we will not be able to hold him forever..." The second figure told her as she nodded in understanding,

"I am aware of this and will begin the contingency plan."

The two men nodded in unison before they simply vanished into the night. Melaferrum was about to deal with the cube of power when she heard a whispery voice and her blind eye turned an eerie purple.

AN- Hey everyone! Here's my new book!

I'm so excited to be posting this mysterious prologue finally, but I'm really sorry it took this long to post.

My house has been really crazy for the past two weeks and counting with all the people living under one roof right now. Plus, I lost the notebook where I keep all my ideas so I wasn't able to remember all the details of my story since I have the memory of a sieve.

Anyways, I should be able to work a little more on it since I found my notebook and I have access to my mom's laptop again so writing will be semi-easier.

See y'all in the next chapter, Bye!
