Chapter 2

Paulie's POV

I was walking down the street to the Starbucks where I would meet roberta. I still didn't get why Alice didn't like her. And she didn't tell me either, that's strange coz usually we told each other everything.

Thinking to myself like that I had gotten to the cafe. I saw Roberta the minute I walked in. "Hi!" I shouted to get her attention. She smiled and I rushed towards her. "Hey Bubba!" she said. "Hey beautiful, how's it going?" I said to her. She just giggled sweetly. She was a cute girl, with light blond straight hair down to her bum, green eyes and a very nice smile. Just the opposite of Alice, who had dark brown hair, marvelous blue eyes and well a nice smile also.

We talked and just had fun, but trough the hole time she called me Bubba and I just couldn't get whyyy.... That brought back memories of another weird nickname, the one I got on my 10th bday.

*flashback*

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Paulie, happy birthday to you!!!!" everyone sang. I looked at my big cake and blew out the candles. Everybody clapped and my mom started to cut the cake. "For my bday boy!" mom said giving me the first piece she cut. I dug into it coz it just looked tooo yummi. When I finished eating I looked up to my right, where Alice sat. "Hahahhahaha Paulie, what's that on your nose???" she asked laughing. "Decided to go FroYo style??" I didn't get a bit she was talking. I touched my nose and there was a bit of the cake there, making it white.

*flashback ends*

Yes, she still calls me FroYo sometimes. I didn't even get what it meant until like a week or so later... FroYo as in Frozen Yoghurt... Yes she's weird.

"Hey it's already half past five, I told the guys I'll be at Eman's house at six..." I stated. "So you have to leave already??" she said pouting. "Well, you can come with me?" I said hoping she could. "Yesss of course I would like tooo!!!" she said. "Well lets get going then.

We left the Starbucks hand in hand and got going. Eman's house wasn't far so we walked. On the way we passed a park. A very familiar park actually. That had been the place I broke my arm for the first time.

*flashback*

"Hey Paulie, I dare you to climb that tree!!" Alice shouted completely out of the blue. It was a sunny Saturday morning and we were at a park near our homes. "Don't you think its a little high?? It's like 6 meters or something??" I hesitated. "And?? Are you a chickeeennnnn???" she said doing chicken noises and flapping her hands like wings. "Well see you in a bit, I'll go climb up the rainbow!" I said to her and started to march towards the tree. She just laughed at my silly joke. Getting up wasn't that hard, in a matter of minutes I was already at the top. "Heyy, who's the chicken nowwww???" I shouted to Alice. "Still you, duhh, now get down slowpoo, I want ice cream." she shouted back making a totally unamused face. I started to come down and was already on the last branch, when I slipped and fell. I landed on my arm. "OMG, are you okey PauPau???" Alice asked running towards me. "Owwwwwww, Ali, I think I broke my arm..." I said trying to get up.

After that Alice called my mom and we went to the ER. All went well, except for the part I broke my arm. We were 12 when it happened but Alice still sometimes apologizes and I think she feels very guilty. Though I think she shouldn't, it was only my fault that I fell, no-one else's.

Walking quietly like that we had to gotten to Eman's house already. I just walked in coz I knew everyone else would be there already and I was right. "hey everyone!!" I shouted. "Supp mannnnn!!" Eman yelled from across the house. "Hey I brought Roberta too," I said as we got to the room they all were sitting infront the tv. "Hi!" Roberta said. It was followed by some sup-s and hi-s from the boys. Alice just came over and gave me a hug and a cold look to Roberta, who, for my surprise, answered with the same look. Well, this should be an interesting evening...
