Peter's body was never found after the Helicarrier sank.  Escape pods hit the beach, all to reveal Spiderman wasn't there, then the Helicarrier exploded, leaving the hope for his survival in shambles.

Ava silently cried, though it didn't seem she liked Peter, she did with all her heart, but in secrecy.  But now, the hero she loved was dead, or so she thought.

Freeze Frame

Peter walks to face the screen that reveals a Spiderman submerged in water.

"I don't know if I should go back.  They seemed better off without me, even at the start.  Like anyone wanted me there anyway." Spiderman looks down.

"This is where I disappear.  I will fight the tide, and live in secrecy."

Unfreeze Frame

His team mourns his death.

"He was a good soldier..." Fury remarks with sorrow in his voice.

"His selflessness led to this, " Harry says shocked.  The one who made his father into Green Goblin saved everyone's life while not caring about his own.

All witnesses were affected emotionally.  Even Jameson had some less aggressive remarks to his death.  He hated him, but he actually was a hero to him for once.  He was to everyone.

A parade was held the day he died, a public idol, dead.  Honor the fallen, avenge their death, and never forgive yourself for not helping sooner.

2 Year's Later

The parade progressed during the 2 year anniversary of Spiderman's apparent death.  A figure wearing a black suit with white webs and a white spider in the middle prowled the streets silently.  Many gazed at the silhouette of Spiderman.  The ghost of himself soon disappeared to find his apparent grave.

His team stood before the tombstone.  Tears coming from Ava's eyes as she stared at the stone on her knees.  But her enhanced senses picked up a familiar scent.  She turned to her teammates confused.  A tree's branch shook.

Something was familiar with the lurker, no one could guess as to the figure watched, now less vigilant.

"Spidey?"
