Chapter two

Age 11 Lucas POV
I was in class when my best friend Asher came running towards me to tell me what happened in his pervasive class to Claire who was 3 years older then us. Apparently she fell out of her desk while writing notes and was brought to the nurse but that wasn't all. Asher kept on going on about how good she smelled and how eh wish he could've helped her.
Yeah right I said considering the way he spoke about her I bet he just what're to hug her and smell her to death then actually help her.
That's when the teacher walked in and silenced us all from talking about the incident that occurred in Asher's class. She stared talking about damn fractions and so on I just blocked her out I take the notes the last 20 minutes.
The bell finally rung and thank the moon goddess it was LUNCH TIME I unconsciously belted.
All my class mates laughed at me. Asher included.
I just pretended like it didn't happen even though my face was on fire telling a whole other story.

After lunch was health one of my favorite classes cuz it wasn't really hard just basic hygiene and of course the "start using deodorant" comment at the end of class😂I love my teacher though she's very funny so her class is always fun to come to.
When me and Asher walked in to class we noticed on the board New unit in blood we were confused considering we just started talking about alcohol and what it dose to wolfs.
"Maybe alcohol isn't as important since it doesn't effect us as much" Asher said
Yeah i guess but it's still to sudden don't you think I asked and that's when Mrs. Martha walked in she was also the pack nurse aid but is 23 so not need as much so she works at the school.
She walked in banged on the desk three times to get everyone's attention and with a serious face said
It's time to talk about wolf genders.
The whole class started cackling like crazy cause it was just so funny.
I mean majority of us know there are three genders and that you have to get tested to know which gender you are. To most it's obvious but just to be safe you get tested once your 11 which is This year for us.
Mrs. Martha yells silence to gain control of the class and explain why the unit was changed all of a sudden and it was due to the incident in Ashers class. She said that Claire was and omega and that she went in to heat in class and that it was dangerous for her too considering there wher alphas and betas there to and the alphas would've been attracted to her smell. After she said that me and Asher both turned to one another and thought the same thing I guess. That Asher was an alpha. How cool is that my best friend an alpha I mean his dad and mom are alpha and Luna so it shouldn't have been that surprising but it was still cool and unfair. Now he already New before the test. I'm even more anxious and excited now.
Mrs. Martha walked us through every genders basic bodily functions and needs and also how each most likely would grow up looking like body wise and what jobs in the pack they would be able to do. She told us how alphas usually only come from the packs alpha lineage and how majority would betas. Which was true both my parents where betas. She also said that there where a minority of omegas in each pack and explained about how fragile and small they are how it's hard to live as and omega the struggles and worries they would have to face. I made me feel for Claire all the more.
I couldn't help but watch Ashers facial expression as the teacher spoke he was so engaged and really look like a future alpha I was in awe and couldn't wait to take the test which was scheduled after school today at the pack infirmary .

It was finally the end of the school day Asher and were waiting outside for my dad to pick me us up since Asher parents are busy most of the time. My dad volunteered because we hanged out all the time anyway. Once we saw his car parked we raced to it to see who was fastest. I ran as fast as I could but Asher was still faster. That got me thinking he must really be an alpha.
Once we got in the car dad asked us how school went and we talked his ear off. From Claire to the appointment at the infirmary.
Dad told us you had to go in with your parents so Ashers parents would meet him inside.

It was finally our turn to head inside the infirmary to get my gender test done with I was ready and pumped. They had me sit on a bed while they checked my blood pee and heart rate. They then checked my weight and height. That's when I noticed their puzzled gazes and I'm guessing my parents did as well when my mom asked
"Is there a problem"?
"No Mrs James just our blood work and his height and weight just aren't corresponding as they usually do and should".
What dose that mean? My dad asked
It means his blood says he's an omega but his build is like of a beta or even close to an alpha. Where having a hard time believing he's an omega is all.
Once I herd what the doctor said my heart and my brain broke. There isn't anything wrong with being an omega but there's a lot wrong with me being an omega. My thoughts kept running in my head with a fast pace and I tuned everything out. My head was pounding hard and I felt my blood run cold the boom blackness.

I cracked my eyes open to bright lights and an unfamiliar room with to many white objects. That's when I remember everything and I got dizzy again. That's when I herd a voice saying "slow down bud" which sound very familiar. Once the voice came in to view i found Mrs. Martha in my eye lane.
How was your nap sweetie she said
Great I replayed but my head still hurts.
"I'd expect that as well considering the news"
I snapped my head up and my eyes open wide so it's true I'm an omega??

Yes it is Mrs. they won't let me be lead scouter for the pack they won't let me be anything of value like you said.
Honey yes you can't be lead scouter but there is value in everything you do as long as you try your hardest.
I wish her words helped me but nope my eyes started to sting and my head was spinning again because of some many thoughts I hated being and omega and it was just my first day. How would I tell Asher this and that's when my mind froze. Ashers an alpha he can't find out I'm an omega no way. What am I going to do I thought. Would I lie to him I didn't know but telling him wasn't an option.

My and dad took me home silently the could feel my dismay my hopelessness and my fear. Once we went inside I went straight to my room and slept my head still hurt and I couldn't handle it.

It was around dinner time mom came to my room and shook me awake. I was a bit drowsy but was conscious. You spoke to me so lightly so so smooth I couldn't help but cry my eyes beg to not be an omega. She knew why of course for six years I always wanted to be the lead scouter. To be someone valued in the pack now it's taken away and 100x harder cuz of my gender. Let's not even get started on the omega bodily functions and situation either. My parents and I could feel and see how this would effect me and the only thing that came to mind to me was please don't tell any one please don't tell Asher my best friend. My parents herd the last part about Asher and that's when they decided that I didn't have to tell anyone I was an omega I could pass as a beta heck an alpha so that's how I was going to live like only my parents and the the doctors/ nurses New about my situation and we are going to keep it that way.

Little did Lucas know being an omega would be his biggest challenge publicly, sonically, physically,and mentally. I do wish my character luck though 🤧😏😏
