chapter 3

"MUM, I'm going to the mall!" I yelled as I slipped my feet into my shoes. I was late and I couldn't risk missing another shopping spree with my best friend. Mum replied, "Be home before 12!" I gave her a thumbs up and ran out of the door.

I heard a horn and turned to see my Uber driver waiting impatiently for me. God, I feel so bad. When I sat down on the passenger seat of the Uber, I apologised for making him wait for me. "Eh, it's alright, kid. I'm used to it," the driver replied. He was blonde and looked old.

"Hey, you look like Jason Nash," I blurted. The driver looked at me in shock. "Oh fuck, I've been busted," Jason said, sounding disappointed. I feel so bad. I think no one is supposed to notice.

Wait, he's David's friend, right? Oh my god, this might be my chance to ask about David. "Uh, so David. How is he?" I asked nonchalantly, making Jason a bit suspicious. Jason told me David would've paid him $1000 if he managed to drive an Uber all day without getting noticed.

"I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you! Maybe I won't say anything about you, Jason! Then you'll get your money," I suggested. Jason chuckled, "David would find out eventually, guy's a fucking wizard. Anyway, we're here. Have fun, kid."

I paid Jason and smiled, "Thank you! Have a good day, Jason! Good luck, hope to see ya soon!" I watched as Jason drove away. Soon, I walked to Brandy Melville. I really wanted to see David again. I haven't seen him since the day I met him, which was eight days ago. Something about him made my heart race in my chest and giggle like a girl in elementary school.

"Livy!" a familiar voice called. I turned to see my best friend, Lila. "Lily!" a huge smile was plastered onto my face. Lila ran to me and pulled me into a bear hug. I hugged her back. I missed Lila. She was like the sister I never had. I knew her since we were in elementary school and I never really got to see her a lot when I was 13 and 14 because she went to middle school but I didn't.

High school was the best. We became a lot closer and I cried on my graduation day because I wouldn't have had the time for Lila in college. She helped me a lot when I was trying to move on from my dad's death and I love her, a lot.

I pulled away from our hug and stared at her. "Do you have any tea? Boys? Oh my god, are the boys are your college hot?" I quickly started a conversation. We talked a lot in the store ( a / n if u didn't know what store they're at, go uP or back idk ) and tried on a bunch of clothes. After picking the clothes we wanted, we paid for them and left the store.

"I'm hungry," Lila mentioned. Coincidentally, we were standing right next to an In N Out. Lila looked at the fast food restaurant and entered, me trailing behind. We found a booth next to a bunch of noisy guys. "It'll do," I sighed.

Lila volunteered to order. Lucky her. I ended using my phone when I saw him.

third person

Olivia was using her phone, scrolling through Instagram when she looked up and saw David. "David?" she asked, looking at a man who sat at the booth beside hers. The man turned around and looked at Olivia, his eyes sparkled at the sight of her.

Olivia grinned once she saw that David recognised her. "Hey, Olivia!" David stood up, greeting her with a huge smile. David excused himself from his boisterous group of friends. He proceeded to take a seat next to Olivia and they began to talk.

"What a coincidence, huh? First, I met a friend of yours and now, I'm here, with you!" Olivia laughed. David stared into the girl's brown eyes, falling in love with the sight of them. "Dave?" Olivia waved a hand in front of the man. David snapped out of his daze and continued to talk with Olivia. After a few minutes, Lila arrived with a tray.

"Oh my fucking god, David Dobrik?" Lila squealed at the sight of her favourite Youtuber. "Livy, you're friends with him? And you didn't tell me?" Lila turned her attention to her best friend whose cheeks were currently pink. ( idfk how to say just imagine it sigh )

Olivia grabbed the tray from Lila's hands and sat the blonde down. She began to explain how she met David and Lila was shook. "My sister fucking knows David freaking Dobrik. Y'all heard that? Bet your sis isn't like that!" Lila yelled to her imaginary crowd.

Soon, it was time for Lila and Olivia to leave. David had introduced the duo to his friends, the vlog squad. Lila fangirled while Olivia actually talked to them and befriended them.

"Well, hope to see you soon, David," Olivia waved a goodbye before leaving the the fast food restaurant. She was surprised they hadn't been kicked out yet. Lila thanked Olivia for the great day.

"I fucking worship you now, Livy. Thanks for the perfect day. I love you, meet up again soon?" Lila smiled. Olivia replied, "Thank you for the perfect day. I love you too, and I'd love to meet up again soon, babygirl!" The duo shared their last hug before going their separate ways.

...

"Mum, I'm going into my room. Might never come out for the next few days so goodnight. I love you," Olivia joked before kissing her mother's cheek and going into her room. When she entered her room, her phone vibrated. Olivia took out her phone from her pocket and saw that David had added her to a groupchat.

Olivia chuckled as she read through the texts again. After reading the chat for the 100th time, she finally got off her phone and began talking to Lila, who was currently using MacBook filters while making funny faces at Olivia.

"Alright, Lils. Where were we?"
