chapter 2

OLIVIA had a smile plastered on her face after her conversation with David. He seemed like really nice. David was real with her, and Olivia loved that. It wasn't often you talk to cute guy that is real and honest with you. Once the brunette reached her humble apartment, she went in and took a deep breath.

Suddenly, a familiar scent found its way into Olivia's scent. "Is that Lavender?" Olivia guessed as she tried to identify the source of the smell. Then, she reached the bathroom. There, she saw Mrs. Sinclair taking a relaxing bath. Olivia let out a sigh of relief.

"God bless! Mum, aren't you supposed to be sleeping? I told you not to wait up!" Olivia said harshly. She cared deeply for her mother and did not like seeing the woman worry about her constantly, most likely damaging ( is this the word to use? idk tbh ) her health. Once Olivia realised the tone she had been using was rude, she simply apologised and left the bathroom.

Olivia was sick and tired of seeing her mum acting out like that. She went to her room and changed into a Singular Act I hoodie that she found while shopping at H&M. Olivia then took out her journal and pen.

Hi journal,

I went out today and met a really cute, genuine guy named David while watching Infinity War. He's really sweet and I like that about him. I also admire the fact that he wasn't cocky as fuck like other guys. Plus, he didn't judge the fact that I was crying a lot during Peter Parker's death. I gave him my number, no cap ( like who is she? ). Let's hope he won't be a dick and texts me. I really look forward to seeing him again soon. Pray for me. He's SO cute! Like how? And he looks familiar. I don't really know why though. Anyway, now time for the ranting part of this entry.

Before I went out, I told Mum not to wait up for me and go to sleep as it was quite late already. And the house was already clean so she had no excuse to be staying up. I was out for a long time. I came back at around 2 am. When I was home, Mum wasn't asleep! Instead, she was taking a bath. I'm sick and tired of her acting like this. I'm freaking 21 for fucks sake. She acts as if I'm a hopeless teenager! but fr i do act like one sometimes ngl.

Ever since Dad died, Mum has completely changed. And this was a bad change. I didn't apprOve of this change, like mcSCUSE ME? Anyway, I'm running out of space now lmao.

Olivia laughed at herself after reading her entry. Writing in her journal really helped her a lot, mentally. She hasn't been as depressed as usual. She had more friends now, she really got up on her feet and moved on from her father's death. Olivia was much healthier, mentally and physically. And she was proud of herself.

Suddenly, her phone dinged. She was confused as no one would usually text her late at night. "Is it David?" Olivia thought. The thought put a smile to her face and she immediately lightened up. To her delight, it was David!

unknown : hey there, olivia! it's me, david, from the cinema? ( if this isn't olivia i am so sorry. just ignore me. )

Olivia chuckled at the boy's message and quickly replied.

you: hey, david! it's me, olivia. this isn't the wrong number, don't worry😂

oh no. fortunately, i do not have insomnia. i've been editing and i can't seem to finish it right now because i'm really tired.

Olivia was confused. David Dobrik? She recognised that name from somewhere. Olivia walked to her desk and grabbed her MacBook Pro. She typed her password in and entered google before going onto Youtube. She searched up 'David Dobrik' and tons of videos popped up.

Wow. Then, it hit her. She had been talking to a celebrity.
